Called several times a month ago and then quit. Started back up over this past weekend, and I had 4-5 messages telling me my iCloud account had been hacked and it was an emergency that I got back to Apple Support at this number and not to use any Apple device. Also said my Hotmail account had been frozen and/or would be frozen by 1/24 if I didn't respond.

Call came in as "APPLE RETAIL" with the number displayed as 718-489-1540, saying that my cloud account was breached, and press 1 for Apple Support. It also left the call back number as 206-309-9231 which is probably the true Robo Call number, while the call displayed number of 206-309-9231 "APPLE RETAIL" might be the spoofed number.
These Robocalls must / need to be stopped now.

In response to: mr koolio

these yahoos call and say your icloud has been hacked....and that they are applesupport. then they say hit #1 and you will be transferred to a rep. who will "fix" your icloud acct. for a lot of scam $

their 800 number is 8002752273

Caller name: Apple Support

Caller type: Unknown

This recording stated the following (from a transcript of the messge):
"That your iCloud account has been breached before using any Apple device please contact Apple Support advisor press one to connect with Apple support advisor press two to listen to the message again or if you wish to contact us later please call us on my toll-free number 206-309-9231 thank you..."

I called Apple support and was told this is a phishing scam. They said never ever press the number to redirect the call; if you do, this enables them to get into your account. Instead, look up their number and call direct. Never click on any links in any emails that are supposedly from Apple. You need to make the contact directly yourself from their support page.

In addition, they are somehow using the real Apple contact numbers, but masking their actual number with those. You aren't actually getting a call from those real Apple numbers. That is why you are redirected to another number by pressing 1 or 2. Don't press those numbers! That is how they are able to actually get into your iCloud account!
