Called my cell. I'm on the DNC list, but it doesn't matter to these people. I did not answer, they did not leave a message. I don't know anybody in the 206 area code, and the 200 exchange just looks plain phony to me. Someone should redirect all these spammers to call our legislators' personal cell phones.

Just received a call from this nr on my cell... No voicemail.
I've dissconnected my home nr just because of these kinds of phone calls (I've very young children that nap during the day) but receiving these kind of calls on my cell is making me feel very uncomfprtable to say the least.

Got a couple of phone calls (11:53am) from an out-of-state number that I didn't "know" or recognize.
(Does this mean that they are involved in Interstate Fraud?)
They, of course, left no message.
As always, I didn't answer, but looked up the number here.

I am on the National Do-Not-Call List, and have been for over a couple of years now.
(I guess this is our government at work for us.)

I'm going to
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
AND to
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
and see if that can get the government to work for me, and stop these calls.
(Yes I will go through all those steps.) [I have also bookmarked these URL's.]
I have also assigned a silent ringtone to this number. (I am up to 61 now.)
We should all pile on.

Rang the phone continually until we unplugged it. The one time we answered they claimed we won a trip to the Bahamas. BS

A prerecorded message starts upon answering, "Congratulation, you've won a trip for two to the Bahamas!" That's all I heard after answering the call as I then hung up the phone. This is the second call I'd received from them, the first one I did not answer from a couple days prior. My phone is registered with donotcall.gov, has been for a while now, and I've registered a complaint with the agency.

The problem "vigilante" is that these scammers often "spoof" the number that shows up on your screen. It is often attached to an innocent victim. Last month I got one of these spam calls from an honest travel agent. Her number had been spoofed by one of these credit card scammers. She had a miserable day as people from all over the country called her to complain and inundated her FB page.
In short, the person you will be punishing will also be a victim, not the perp.

My old tracfone has a ringtone on it called "silent." This is very useful.

Whenever I get a call from an unknown entity, I don't answer, then I google it. Usually it's either a scam, in which case the DNC doesn't matter - crooks don't follow the rules - or it's political fundraising, which is exempt from the DNC list.

If your phone didn't come with a "silent" ringtone, I really suggest finding one and downloading it. The calls are annoying but once you determine you don't want to hear from them again, they can call till their little fingers ache (or their robo-machine breaks, or they get busted, whichever comes first), and you won't be bothered because your phone won't ring. The only way you'll know someone called is when you later see them in your "missed calls" list.

Called my mobile phone today, did not answer, no voicemail. I find it amusing that people get so worked up over this issue. Yes, it's slightly annoying to get these calls, but it's not costing you anything if you don't answer.
