Caller name: Cardmember Services

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

This scammer continues to call numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. They continue to call after being asked to remove the victim's number from their list. When you do get to an operator, they refuse to provide a physical address and phone number when asked, still further violating the TCPA. Their scam recording states that this is the final offer, but the scammer will call again in as little as half an hour, but not more than a couple of weeks. Their recording states that the victim's accounts have been being monitored and that the victim has been found eligible for 0% interest on all credit card debt. This is clearly a scam, as the first question from the operator is the amount the victim owes on credit cards. Do not give this scammer any personal information.

Constantly calling my phone saying my credit card rates are too high. I do not have a credit card. I press the button to be placed on the DNC list and they still keep calling. (203)983-5988. I press the button to speak with a rep and asked the lady who she is and to please take me off the list.

Starts as a robocall. Pressed one so that I could speak to a human in order to request being removed from the database. Man on the other end hung up on me mid-sentence.

We got several calls from this # on our land line and cell phones in spite of being on donotcall list (which is a joke btw!). we do not answer as we do not know anyone from Greenwich, CT. Seems like the more a scam # is reported, the more calls are generated. when will this be resolved? perfect task for our federal communications to stop these scammers but ...

Just wanted to leave a note since I just got a call from this number. I didn't answer but based on the other comments, it would make complete sense that this is a scammer because I just opened a new credit card a month ago. They managed to use a local area code and phone number to appear legitimate. Glad I searched this number before answering.

They want info about my credit cards so they can give me some kind of deal on interest rates. Really? IF I had a credit card, the the credit card company would be determining the interests rate, not some third party that leaves recorded messages on my UNLISTED phone.
