They call asking for your name and home address first. I told them not to talk to me at work, but they won't stop...which is harassment.
They've called at least five times between 8-5 when I'm at work at a couple times at 7 AM.
Caller name: ic system
Lady came on the line and said hold couldn't understand the person when I asked who was calling and what was the call about they wanted to get off of the phone very quickly I believe it's all a scam!! freaky.
Got a call from a very similar 202-area-code number. As always, since I didn't recognize the number, I just let it go to voice mail. Then, as usual, I went online and looked for web sites (like this one) to confirm that I did the right thing. Now, since I never picked up the phone the FIRST time, I expect - as usual - that I'll never hear from them again. Picking up and answering the phone only validates that it's a working number, and that there's a live person on the other end who will answer it. Once they verify that, they can 'sell' your number to a dozen other telemarketers......... If you don't answer unrecognized numbers to begin with, they'll very likely go away after the first try.
I received two calls from this number. The first time I was working and did not answer, they did not leave a voicemail. Today they called and I answered only because I am going to DC for business in a couple weeks and thought it might be something related to my trip. There was an automated message that said "please hold", then a woman asked to speak to someone who is not me. Then she asked if I know anyone by that name. I said not. She said it will take 3 to 4 days to remove me from the list??
I have gotten multiple phone calls from this number and the conversation is the same every time.
Female Voice: "Hello, is _____ ______ there?"
Me: "Yes, I am."
Phone call is then immediately disconnected by the other party (caller).

keep calling mostly qorking hours, not lving messages but caller ID says IC system, one night they callled we answered but no one was there, but they call everyday, harrasment calls.... we check out this numbe3r and a lot of filed complaints too.
Called multiple times a day for weeks until I finally answered. I was tired of my phone vibrating during work meetings. He knew my name and address asked me to confirm it. Said he was debt collector for ATT and I owed ~$80 and it was going on my credit report if I did not pay. I always pay on time and full amount....and our account is in my husbands name anyway. I did not tell him that. Seems like a scam. He argued with me over and over. I told him i would take it up with ATT, that it was a mistake. Then, I told him nicely that i was not going to give a stranger my CC number and he hung up on me.
Caller name: Washington DC
Number calls me everyday during work hours and never leaves a message. I picked up once and they hung up. I ended up blocking the number but still shows they tried calling me on my call list. So annoying

Called my number but asked for my husband. Asked if i was his spouse and i said yes. Theyasked if he was available and i said no and they just said we will attempt ro call him again at a later date and hung up.
Called asked if I was Janice and when I said yes they asked to verify my address. He could even say it right. I asked who was he with and he said he was calling for a client. I asked again who was client and he said I'm just following protocol mam. I said I'm not giving you any information if you can't tell me who is calling and he said I just need to verify it's you. I said if you can't tell me who and why this call is over.

Bottom feeders who bought the account for pennies. By law, you have no contract with the collection agency, so they rely on your ignorance of the law. If they bought your account, they have paid it off! End of drama. You owe nothing to a party in which you have no contract agreements. Tell them. And, if you want, sue them.
I've received a call from this number multiple times. I finally answered this morning. They wanted me to confirm my address and the last 4 of my SS#. I told the lady i wasn't confirming anything unless she tells me what this in regards to. Wouldn't do that, it's an important business matter and we need to verify we are specking with the right person before they can talk about what business matter. I told the lady you are speaking with the person you are asking for however i am not confirming any information... I told her is she can't tell me what the call is regarding then to stop calling. She hung up! I called the number and it's for IC Systems out of MN. The caller ID is for Washington DC. Looks like they are a medical debt collection agency. However, I've dealt with collections people before and they don't hang up on you they wait for you to hang up on them. Hope this helps anyone else that is trying to figure out what this number is all about.

Caller name: Washington DC
Caller has a thick accent saying he is from the US government and wanted to talk to me! Haha! I started laughing at him, and told him that my US government has no reason to want to talk to me, still laughing at him! He tried to say something else to convince me he was US government from 'Washington DC' so I said PROVE IT! he hung up.
Caller name: No name given
Told them they have the wrong person and wrong number I was told in ored to stop the call I would have to paid up $10 - $15.00 if I want the calls to stop or to be taken off the call list.
Caller name: IC System
My cell number is fairly new. Facebook, Twitter and my doctor are the only public entities that have it. None of the bills are in my name. My guess is that either Facebook or Twitter are selling the information. This is really concerning. I only put my phone number in those accounts for verification purposes. It is time to read the small print. Also, IC Systems said they were collecting consumer information. I didn't verify who I was, just questioned them and then said "she" wasn't available. Never confirm your identity to an unknown caller.
They Call and call and then you hear nothing. They call at 6:20 in the morning when everyone is sleeping and don't leave voicemail. If I don't answer they just keep calling. This is such a pain when you have children in the house.
Caller name: anonymous
they keep calling my number- is very annoying - at one point early in the morning i answered and it was woman voice (like an operator) saying hold on I am connecting you to... dont even know what - I just hanged the phone - i have the feeling they call and if you answer they are able to stablish like a connection with somebody even if you shut off your phone - thinking if they will stay connected to the line. Tired of this bull.

They called from Washington DC. A long period of time after I answered before she responded asking for my name. I said who is this. She responded only giving that It is a private business matter. I said, 'I don't think we have business' She tried again to get my name before hanging up on her. Obvious Scam (or the likes)
Caller name: IC Systems
Got a call from this number today and caller ID stated it was from IC Systems, which is a collection agency. It being the holiday season, these scum crawl out of the woodwork trying to scam money from you on debts that either you don't have, or are beyond the statute of limitations and were written off dozens of years ago.
Best course is to don't answer the phone and let your answering machine pick up. Complaining to state and government authorities doesn't help as they could care less.
