It was driving me nuts getting these calls until I found this comment from another site of a do not call service at 866-246-7196 for a small number of companies that call consumers that want to minimize complaints and save time not calling people who don't want to be called. Just give them the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list- quick and easy.

I can't believe people ask here for the people to stop calling their number - this is a place for us to write that they called - I've read on other pages it's AARP about something. I'm on AARP so I quess next time they call I'll answer the phone and find out.
Caller name: Washington DC
Have no idea who this is but in the last 3 days my phone has been hopping with telemarketer calls so I am going to assume this is the same type of call, and I have been on the DNCL since it's inception. I simply don't answer. My call block is full so I can't add anymore numbers. I just purchased a device that will let me block entire area codes. That will fix their asses! So many companies have so many extension that it is tuff to block them all but I got the cure for that now!!
Caller name: hung up when I asked for name
Someone from this number kept calling and we always ignored the call but today I answered and the woman at the other end said she had some questions for me about the upcoming election--I asked her who she represented and she just talked over me--when I insisted on knowing who she was calling for she hung up--hopefully the rude wench won't call back--if she does I have a nice whistle that I plan to blow up her ear with!
Caller name: Wasington DC
Yes, caller ID said Washington DC. I have phoned back several times only to get a busy signal. They keep calling me. Once saying they were collecting monies for police benevolent and for a donation I could get a sticker. Another occasion saying it was AARP asking about Obama care. Sounds like a bunch of bull............

Bot asked me to hold for an important message. A few seconds later a gentleman claiming to be AARP asked me about giving out my medicare number first, then asked me if I realized that giving out numbers involving medical things could lead to Identity Theft, Then asked if I have any medical documents laying around. I let him know I'm not on Medicare, I do know better then to give out any such numbers and that I shred all documents I don't keep in my safe. He thanked me for the information & hung up. His voice did sound disappointed. I have talked to AARP many times they have always been straight & to the point, this call didn't fit their profile. My brother told me about a Cd available from Amazon.com Called, "Stop Telemarketers", that has a special tone that blocks calls like this. They claim that when your answering machine or voice-mail answers and plays the tone the robot caller will automatically kick your number out of their database & hang up. When used properly the calls will stop coming in after a week or two. Amazon will get you a refund if it doesn't work as claimed. I think I'm going to try it.

This number has called us for days, it rings probably 20 times before they give up . Last time they called I picked it up after the first ring & got nothing but a dial tone.
I am not the only one at least 100 people in the Harold, Kentucky area I live in has the same issues.
this is what he said, "You have been chosen for a 8000 grant"
"The government doesn't want you to use this for alcohol, drugs or any other bad things."
Karol, it has called me and my mom's house all day today
