Calls in reference to an $8400 "government grant" when I answered. Attempted to get my checking account #. When I pressed issue on verifying the authenticity of it they hung up. Busy call center in background and they all sound foreign.

Caller name: Government claims department- Michelle smith

They will say the government has awarded you with a large sum of money and try to get you back account number or credit card number. If you don't provide they will say they can give you the money from money gram but you need to send $287 first to verify that it's you. They then proceed to say that you CAN NOT tell money gram that you're receiving money from the government, tell them, "you're sending money to a friend." once you call their bluff they hang up on you.

This number belongs to a M&T Bank out of Washington DC area. But I don't think its a real branch cause there are too many addresses for the one phone number. Isn't it quite ironic that this is being carried on in the place we think of as the heart & soul of this great country. Kinda makes you wonder what's really going on?

Caller name: Name not found

The number is 202-000-1111 they call every day. The foreign man also said that he was from the United States federal department that hands out grants.

I asked the man for his federal ID and he hung up. This is almost better than the windows IT scammers.

This number keeps calling. I didn't answer but googled it instead. Apparently it's a solicitation call. Very annoying! How do I stop them from calling?

They just called my boyfriend telling him he was chosen out of 1500 people to collect $7000. He was suspicious and asked what kind of credit card info was needed. The Arab guy said none but to call a woman name Hilary Moore at (202)738-4662. No answer. Tired of these scam calls.. They knew his name and address. Couldnt pronounce it correctly.
