User Complaints for 201-298-6977
Received a call and sent them to Voicemail. They left NO Message, yet a simple google search resulted in multiple responses that they would represent themselves as a utility company (in New York)calling to notify you that their rates are increasing. My utilities are locally owned and operated so I called the number back and got "you have reached a number that is disconnected". So next move....Their blocked.
Asian accent - obviously a scam/telemarketer - wants to 'verify' information of the owner of the business so they can send a report. I hung up - he was rude and pushy when I wouldn't transfer him to owner. (never going to happen) called back immediately, he was hung up on again. Complete sham - not worth answering. Just block the number.
Caller name: Attorney at Lae
This call was identified by Caller ID to be from something called Asia Pacific. A heavily accented voice asked to speak to by name to my late wife, who passed away over a year ago. When I informed the caller of that fact and asked what was wanted the caller abruptly terminated the call.
Caller name: Medical Records ????
Woman with "Asian" accent knows my name (cell phone). Says she is calling from some medical records type company, about my pain issues. I told her that I had previously requested they not call me again. Informed her that I would have a charge filed if they continued to call me. I AM on DNC list, both cell and home #.
Caller name: Asia Pacific
Heavy Asian/East Indian accent. Can't identify "Caller Type", because could not understand what it was he was trying to sell, service being offered or anything else. Have received calls on home land line and cell. Had a similar nuisance caller, perhaps the same, who contacted us after we were online trying to clear up a Mac/Apple computer problem. The online person, also heavy Asian/East Indian accent presented himself as tech support for Apple/Mac. After, about an hour, and two different techs, one harder than other to understand, finally advised it would cost (think it was about) $99.95 to fix problem. Refused. Could not afford. Then calls on land line/cell began, after the online incident.
Kind of worrisome. Should have been more cautious dealing w/ online service offered (supposedly through contract w/Apple/Mac). Question, too late, legitimacy of connection between the two. Wonder what info was gathered from our computer. We are elderly and not too computer savvy. Have found a lot of U.S. companies are using companies in India AND the Philippines to provide their U.S. customers w/service. Recently had a bad experience w/Sprint phone service contractor in India and billing errors.
Caller name: "Asia Pacific" caller ID
It arrived on my machine, no message. Asia Pacific has got to be one of the dumbest ID's I've seen lately, what a doozy. I don't get it, there's a little map on this site that has the caller's source-hometown-service provider-city-state-and what appears to be a street....does anyone live near this creep, to "go pay them a visit"?
Keep receiving calls from this number, they never leave a message. Nothing comes up on my caller ID. I have put number on auto reject list but am getting very tired off receiving these calls. Also fearful to pick up when they call because of so many scams to hack into your phone.
Caller name: No name
