Said they were from Microsoft and wanted to help he fix my computer and i told him I had a Mac and I couldn't understand most of what he was saying cause of his accent (India) so i hung up.. Then he called back saying he was from Mac tech support and he wanted to change some settings because they thought my computer was compromised.. They want you to change settings so they can take over your camera and look in on you and place viruses in your computer.. So when I told him no thanks he said F*** You and kept repeating it until I threatened to kick his a*s he hung up.. He called a third time and tried to disguise his voice and I asked for a supervisor and his ID and he cussed me out again and hung up..
Wants money to "fix" computer certificate and to prevent hackers from gaining access to my files. If you get a call.....play along, take up their time, but never give them any information especially your credit/debit card information. FYI, Microsoft says they never charge fees for "computer fixes" and isn't even likely to call you in the first place.
Called at 10am said people were hacking my computer and tried to get me to turn my computer on. I told them the computer isnt linked to the number they called on and i wasnt interested. She started getting rude with me saying i was stupid and shpild listen to her so i can fix my computer and stop the hackers. I hung up on her. Could barely understand her.
Called at 8:00 Am . These are the same people I complained to Microsoft. This number appears to be in England. Microsoft Doesnot know of them. They called them self Windows Best Care
Called me and told me they were from microsoft and someone is trying to access my computer without my knowledge. I said " Oh my god what should I do? Do you want my credit card number?" He said "Yes give me my credit card number." I said " Do you want my bank account number too???" He said yes. I said a few choice words and asked him how he could sleep at night knowing he was taking advantage of people? Seriously? do people fall for this? I sure hope not.
