I got the same call ... this is getting annoying day by day. First it was calls with an Indian accent from IRS .. now it's Indian Accent from Microsoft and they want to remove virus.... Please be aware ...
This is a very old butch scammer stinks stay far away
We have received several calls over the last few days. They come anytime and always say you have a call. If you answer, no one is there. We would like to have them stop calling, whoever they are. We don't know who is calling as only a number comes up.
They keep calling looking for someone with my name but certainly not me. No idea why they keep wasting time. Very rude as well.
Get several calls a day from these numbers. Have blocked them in my phone. I would answer and there would be no one on the other end. They need to stop waisting my time.
Said they were the VFW, looking for donations. I highly doubt that. Looking for money. They keep calling.
caller id says from union cityi n.j. called at 8:40p doesnt leave a message, so i must be a telemarketer...hit block this call on my iphone
We have received several calls from this company and I have asked them repeatedly to please remove us from their list and do not call again. They just keep calling..... how can they keep calling when we are on the do not call list??? I appreciate your help. Thank you.
I was getting 4 different phone numbers calling me about lowering the interest rate on credit cards. I stayed on the line and told one of them I don't have credit cards so please take my phone number off their calling list, they hung up on me! This rudeness prompt me to look for a way to stop these calls and found an easy way; call 866-246-7196. Give the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list. They had this one and 570-983-3796 so they added my phone number to the do not call list and after their 2 business days processing time the phone calls did stop.
He claimed to have a legal intent letter for fraud on me....whatever that is...said he was from the IRS...he said to call him back at 888-393-2430...I searched the number and it came back as a mobile number that belonged to some guy in China! He said a warrant would be issued for my arrest....blah blah blah....this is a scam...please do not call this idiot back!
I received a phone call from a male with a thick Indian accent impersonating himself as an IRS agent. There was a lot of background noise and he made a claim that I had defrauded the IRS and was making allegations that I would be prosecuted and jailed; I immediately hung up the phone and made an attempt to call the IRS fraud hotline.
Calls reaches vim leaves no message. Calls two to three times a day, including Sundays. Annoying
Calls my place endlessly, will not stop calling. If we say "don't call again" it means DON'T CALL AGAIN
Received a call on the home phone which I never give out. The lady said a Annie Johnson in a thick middle eastern ascent. Said to have my regain (yes regain, not a typo) attorney call because if I called it result in serious legal action Will be taken. When I called the number back it was a magic Jack that hasn't been set up yet.
We have received many of these type of calls, but do not answer the phone when we see it on the caller ID. They have been a nuisance for a long time. Thank you for doing what you can to stop then.
Called several times according to caller ID. One time I was hung up on. Answered tonight and after a long silence, I told the caller off. Said I was unlisted (He said I wasn't) and I said I was on no call list. He said he was on my street and had done work for some of my neighbors. I told him that was untrue. He asked why I was so angry. I said if I wanted a contractor, I would darn sure find my own. I told him not to call again and then I hung up on him.
They call several times a day sometimes 30 minutes apart when you answer there is no response you can hear a lot of people talking we are also on a "do not call registry" it does not work very annoying.
Just like Jazzy, I did take out a payday loan with Great Eagle Lending and now PDL, Recovery service is harrassing me and threatening to call the chancellor of the university where I work and sue them because I used my work email address when I applied for the loan. They were very rude and shouted and told me I need to grow up and take responsibility for taking out the loan. I don't mind paying back the $650 loan in installments, but they have added on an additional $2, 570 in so called FEES and to me that's a scam. They have called and talked to my supervisor and told all my business and I know if they were rude to me they were rude to him as well. On August 26th, I filed a complaint with the FTC and i'm getting ready to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office here in NC.
We have received calls from this same recorded message several times over the past 6 months or so. "Hello, the FBI has identified..." I hang up as soon as I realize it's a recording, but it's very annoying.
Called 7 times in 8 minutes. Wouldn't answer as it was my cell phone. My cell phone is for family only. Don't know the number. Did a reverse search. Not from a knowen company.
He left a message on one of my three cell phones. He used my correct first and last name. He said he was Brian Speck from the IRS. His accent was horrible. It was hard to understand most of his words. Even after three replays this was the best I could get. There was a legal petition notice against my name and Social Security number concerning a tax fraud. There was a lawsuit and papers filed today in court. There will be an arrest warrant. Call this number back immediately.

I stayed on the line and told one of them I don't have credit cards so please take my phone number off their calling list, they hung up on me! This rudeness prompt me to look for a way to stop these calls and found an easy way; call 866-246-7196. Call multiple times a day and do not stop despite me telling them to. Selling enhanced male products? I don't know what it will take to stop them but this is ridiculous.
recording passing as live insurance sales. repeated calls from similiar numbers. hang up when questioned.
I owe Chase some money which I intend to pay. I'm getting calls from Chase and this number. When I get the money up I will dial my card number and pay by phone. I think scammers have access to Chase delinquent accounts and call hoping to get a payment plus one's credit card info.
Indian guy calling me telling me he is with the IRS and wants me to call him back and if I don't good luck to me. It was on my answering machine.
We have received calls from this number for weeks. No one will leave a message or speak. Calling back reaches a recording: "Welcome to Octel(?) voice information processing. Please dial the number of the person you are calling. If you have a mailbox on the system please press pound... please stay on the line". Next recording notifies caller there is no default operator available, and "please try your call later".
We have received an average of 1 call a day from this phone number over the past several weeks. Each time. the 'name' that shows up on our caller ID begins with a 'V', followed by a different long string of numbers. Last night I finally answered. When I asked who was calling, the woman did not tell me the company she was with, but said that she wanted to talk to me about our interest rate. I informed her that we are on the do not call registry, and asked her to remove our number from their list.
We have not talked to this company because we just don't answer the phone when we see it on caller ID. These calls are very interrupting and very much a nuisance. Please try to stop them. Thank you.
They are calling to pretend they were from Treasury department.
Called repeatedly without leaving a message for several days. I finally answered, as I was curious who was calling. I was told I was harder to get ahold of than her children at school. She went on and on about breast cancer and asked if she sent me info/envelope would I put a little something in for person fighting cancer. I told her thank you but that I worked directly with the American Cancer Society and Chair and event we do to benefit breast cancer in October every year and that I was all in for the cause but had my own avenue of giving but thank you for reaching out. By the time I was done answering I looked at the phone and the line had been disconnected...... Clearly she had no intention of hearing my answer.......
Called everyday for three days straight now, at least three times a day, leaving recording threatening arrest if not returning his call in 45 minutes. It is apparently a recording with heavy Indian accent.
We have never requested a phone call or any type of contact from this company. I believe they are selling a service that supplies contacts for a home based business.
We have had similar recorded calls for home security installation and have pressed their do not call button when prompted, apparently to no avail. The calls starts with "The FBI..." which is designed to get your attention, I am sure. They tell you there is no charge for the equipment, but of course, the monthly fees are what they are after. These companies should be required to state: "this is a telemarketing call for (name of product). Please press (#) if you wish to be removed from our call list or stay on the line for more information."
We have gotten several of these calls and we don't even have a home loan!! They always come around the dinner hour. It is a recorded message so there is no way to request that they NOT call us.
I got rear ended twice in a row, once by a drunk driver. I was getting this loan to get another car and to pay my rent. Now I'm stuck with no rent and no car, and 535 dollars lost to Fraud. These f****rs seem free of remorse or emotion. They will get their karma as dealt I hope.
Caller: "Cash One" (supposedly)
We have complained any number of times about unsolicited calls like this. This has been non-stop since we had to change our medicare supplement insurance. We have updated our do not call numbers at least three times in the past year. Calls are intrusive and state that they are calling since we filled out information requestsTHAT NEVER HAPPENED. Please help or suggest other steps we need to take.
Called at 9:33 EDT... Female with Indian accent making the same claims as reported by others (I actually couldn't understand what she was identifying herself as, but she told me to go to my computer)
I advised her that on top of the laws she's breaking with whatever scam she's running that she was also breaking the law by calling me after 9pm - she hung up on me... shame, I really wanted to put her on the phone with my husband, the system admin / web developer. :-(
We have been repeatedly called for the past week have repeatedly pressed 3 as the recording indicates to remove our number whenever we do this, the frequency of calls increase. When I ask for the name of the company, I am disconnected or disconnected after I am told Insurance Placement center. When I have spoken with someone, they type my number and say that we are on the do not call list, however, the following day, more calls are received.
We have been registered on the do not call list for several years. Recently we have been receiving many unwnated calls. It is obvious that the FCC is not upholding its reposnsibility. DO YOUR JOB!!!!
when answered there is no one on the phone. very annoying
We have been receiving this and other calls about security services for about 5 months and have asked that they do not call, but today we received 3 calls today and when asked to speak to someone we got connected and then they hung up. These calls are very annoying. Thank you for your help. If you need any more information please contact me.
They call you and pretend to work for Microsoft. They say they need to repair your computer. You give them remote access and then they change your passcode. They ask $199 to fix it.
This is a Scam!
just a loud beep and no one talking
This company (unknown) has called me twice. A man with either East Indian or Pakistani accent says he is a Microsoft Rep & they have received a report that my comp has been hacked. I knew it had to be a scam, so no info was given out. The 2nd call I recognized the number, so I said "Let me guess. My computer has been hacked." He hung up. This number is based in Khazakstan. Filed a complaint with the FTC.
Left message on our home answering machine...something about Internal Revenue Service. Very weird accent, clearly trying to read English from a script. Telling us we'd be sorry if we or our attorney didn't call back.
We have been receiving the same recorded call using a woman's voice from the same company for at least a year now, maybe longer. We are told that "Although there is nothing wrong with your crdit, you must contact us immediately for further assistance." We know there is nothing wrong with our credit. Our credit is solid. What does this company want? What are they selling? We consider their chronic calling an intrusion upon our privacy. They have no business inquiring about our credit. I know many other people in the Central New York State area who repeated get the same call too. What's up with this company?
Called, but my CALL BLOCKER DEVICE worked as promised....NOt the first time this number has called..
I got two voice mail messages from Sarah Lopez with IRS Tax Audit Dept, same as what others described. The calls were almost 3 hours apart, both saying I've been audited for tax evasion and to call back to 888-390-9723 to avoid legal action or going to jail. The second call ended with "have a nice day". Caller ID shows "Private Number". It's peace of mind knowing the money I pay to have our taxes filed every year is recorded and can be vouched for. It's good to see that there is a forum here to report this kind of thing.
Same type of message as others have reported. I called back and got a live person with the same accent but different name. By then I had seen these comments and I confronted him. He hung up.
claims to be the federal trade commission, reported them to the real federal trade commission.also none of the federal government will send you a email.this is a scam.also contact one of the credit reporting agencies&have a fraud alert put on your information.also going to report the number to the FBI and home land security.
he scared me to death he told me I was going to be arrested tomorrow so I had to get the money together tonight and pay him I decided not to and told him that I would pay him tomorrow. Then he told me if I did not call him by 1030 with the cash he would have me arrested at my school in my classroom at 1100 I'm still worried. Italked to the Sheriffs Office and an Attorney they just said that can not happened but I'm still worried help
We have been getting many calls lately and our numbers have been on the do not call list for over 4 years. I am not sure why but it's irritating and getting frustrating. I have told probably 5 callers in the last month that we are on the Do Not Call list and that they should not be calling this number.
Automated fishing message claiming to be Wells Fargo. It claimed my account is locked and wanted me to press 1 to unlock my account. When I failed to do so, it hung up on me within 10 seconds.
not audible area code either 282 or 202 recorded message. after checking 282 is an unassigned area code. 202 is washington d.c.
f*****g CARDMEMBER SERVICES IS NOW SPOOFING MY OWN PHONE NUMBER. f**k THEM ALL I BLOCKED MY OWN NUMBER COMING IN BECAUSE I CAN'T CALL MYSELF. I WOULD LIKE TO STICK A CHERRY BOMB UP RACHEL'S a*s AND LIGHT IT TO LOWER HER INTEREST RATE.
Needs to stop scamming people. We not going put up with it!
A person called me with a recording about receiving a gift card from Walmart. I am not interested in doing business with recordings. We will see how often this person calls me so that I can file a complaint with the Federal Do- not -Call -List.
Don't call on this number, this is a spam.Do not response for any reason.Person called to me several times, left message and asked 5000 or I am going to be arrested. Why FBI doesn't stop him.?this is to much
Tried to buy diamond ring from craigslist, said was from Florida, insisted on paypal only. Asked four questions: why selling, what is firm price, are you the original owner. When said no paypal said wire transfer .Don/t trust this person. uses different numbers
They call all hours of the day. Today they called twice, I guess the person who called didn't realize the beep went off and I heard their whole conversation with heavy Indian accents. I put this number on my rejected list. It's really annoying!!
After a short pause...likely a computer dialed call that transfers to a representative
Arab accent male caller alleging to be from and IT department calling about a computer and acting as if we were acquainted or familiar. Couldn't understand everything he said because his English was poor.
I told the caller that I have no idea who he is, can't understand what he wants, but I don't want him to call back.
Male person called in foreign accent stating that the government has grant money for me. I told the person I was not interested and hung up. He called back again and I told him to remove me from his list and not to call again. He proceeded to call back a third time yelling at me on why I hung up on him and that I needed to listen to him. He demanded that I give him a reason for not wanting the grant. After he finished yelling at me and talking over me he finally let me speak. I told him the next time he called back the number was going to be turned over to the police for harassment. He sat for a couple of seconds and then hung up. He did call back about 15 minutes later and I ignored the call.
We have been getting calls from this company everyday for the past month. We have asked them to take us off their list and talked with a representative who ask me if my number was at the top or the bottom of the list. They will not identify the company name but ask to put a security sign in our yard for a discount on a security system. Our number is on the national do not call list. Thank you
We have a list of numbers that we have blocked as we have received them, but have no record of dates or company names. A lot of the callers say they can help us with our credit cards. We have none. Today's call was not answered so we are unable to give that information. When we have a chance, we tell them to stop calling, but usually they hang up on us. We've called back and get NA, or they hang up on us again. We would appreciate any help.
This person is still at it. Going by Rick. I refused to deal with him without talking on the phone about the details and "he" kept trying to bring up excuses. States "he's" at Lackland Airbase. Maybe that'll give someone in the future a reference point. Not that "he's" really in the air force, but knows of the area. We need better ways for the police to catch these people.
Left no message on answering machine
Received a call from this number but I didn't recognize so didn't answer. No message was left....how annoying!
They have been prank calling me for days and when I finally spoke to them they were trying to get me to change plans and give personal details. They claim to be affiliated with telstra though telstra denies it. I am sick of being called I am sure it must be a scam.
