Woman with high pitched, maybe asian accent, called and said she was calling from the diabetes center and needed some information from me since allegedly someone in my family has diabetes. THey needed to verify information to confirm my benefits. I told her I didn't know who she was, no one here has diabetes, and she needs to stop calling. She said okay, thank you for taking the call. I then called the number right back to see if it was a legitimate business and the phone never rang, or someone picked up right away and never answered.
This number called a few days ago. Today called twice. The first time the caller, an Asian male, claimed he was calling from Windows IT and wanted information about my computer. When I asked him I did not want any further calls he hung up on me. He called again today, same thing. Second time they called and would not say anything. When I called the number, there is no ring tone. As soon as I hung up, someone from that number called and again would not say anything.
I have received several calls from this number on my cell phone over the past 4 days. Caller calls at different times of the day. Since I do not know anyone with this number and no one leaves a message. I tried to call from land line, get no ring tone...STOP CALLING
They call daily. Since I usually don't answer, I finally decided to so I could try to find out who they are and request they stop. Guy tells me he's with Diabetic Resiurcw Center, and is calling to obtain info for my ins. benefits. He knows my FULL NAME and MY ADDRESS, as well as obviously my phone number! I don't give any info to him but we go around and around over and over because I keep asking HOW he obtained my personal information. He keeps saying, "This is Diabetic Resource Center regarding ins. benefits for an upgrade to your meter. You ARE diabetic, correct? You DO test your blood sugar correct?"... I KEEP asking "I know who you are saying you are with, but WHERE did you get my medical information FROM? It's NOT public knowledge! WHERE did you obtain this info", and he kept saying the EXACT same thing over and over, just adding "that's the answer"... Until finally, when it was obvious he wasn't going to tell me anything new, I said in complete exasperation, "Oh Good God!!" To which he replied, "Ok, you have a good day", to which I replied, "You have an f''ed-up day!" And hung up... I wonder if they'll call back again? Cuz NOW I'm ready for them!!!! Let the games begin!!!
this particular number no one is there if i answer. they call repeatedly and if you call back the number wont dial out.. i however, am getting the diabetic scam from two other numbers.. both got angry when i told them i was happy with the service i get and dont need them calling me.. now a new number keeps calling but i wont answer
I have received calls from the Diabetes Resource Center from unknown numbers from Bloomfield NM, Dallas Tx and most recently from Belleview NJ. I checked their website and the e-mail address listed doesn't work. When you call the toll free number you get a recording. I don't know how to make the calls stop and I hate that they have my cell number.
I get them calling once a week or so. Takes them a few seconds to start talking as it's probably a robo-call. once a human answers on your end they start to talk to you. They want to send a diabetes meter to you and ask diabetes questions. I always say NO to each question, then ask they put me on their do not call list, then hang up on them. If they're calling your cell, put their number in your phone under the name SCAM, and you'll know to not answer the call next time!
Called my cell, their number showed blocked on caller ID. After telling me they were the "Diabetes Resource Center" and they just wanted information I told them I do not accept calls from blocked phone numbers. I hung up and within a few minutes they called back again, unblocking the caller ID. I hung up on them again.
