They use a computer to call and play a message. You get a choice to connect to them or be removed from their calling list. I have selected the removal several times but they keep calling. This time I selected to talk to them. I told him they were calling my cell phone which is on the do not call list. I asked for their calling policy and again they hung up on me. At this point I am sure they will call again and again, I sure would appreciate someone doing something about it.
This is Citibank making an illegal collection call. They cal the day after your payment is due, which is ok if an employee of the company calls. These are contractors who cannot contact you unless you are at least 31 days late. Don't even answer the call and just to piss them off always pay on the very last day of the grace period. They called me once at 801 am I wish they would have called 2 minutes earlier so I could sue them.
I have explained to them that the mortgage payment is going to be late due to how my renter gets paid. She pays the late fee and it is usually the middle of the month when I pay online. Citimortgage calls my cell at least 5 times a day and my husband said they are calling 4 to 6 times on our home number. I have asked them to stop calling because they will get their money it just will not be on the first of the month. Can they continue to call like this, "seems to me this is considered harrasment".
They/She called 6 times today. I finally answered and told her to stop calling. She said it wasn't an offer but wanted to tell me I was late on my payment. I said thank you and I'll check my records, and that do not call me anymore. She proceeded to ask for my cell # and I said, this IS my cell #, stop calling it, you're wasting my minutes. She then asked for my home #, and I said, no, you can't have it. Then I hung up...she was still asking for my cell and home #'s as I pushed End.
This is Citimortgage and even if you have scheduled a payment online they will call and call your number, sometimes leaving a messsage and sometimes not. I had one message on my machine and four hang up calls from the same number. I called them and finally got a person and cussed her out just to make myself feel better. Then, an hour later the same number starts back calling. So much for the cussing. I guess it never does any good to talk ugly. :( P.S.: The lady said if you were at a least one day late on your payment according to the FCRA they can attempt to contact you up to EIGHT times a day at ALL the numbers you have provided to them.
I didn't answer call since I didn't recognize the number but they left a message saying to call them about something important regarding a mortgage--I do not now nor have I ever had a mortgage with Citi. I had a Citi credit card but that's been paid off for years. I have no idea why they would be calling me.
Wow, you are making a huge mistake letting your renter cause you to be late on your mortgage! Even if the renter is paying the late fees, it's hurting your credit and it is ultimately YOUR fault. You are the one responsible for paying your mortgage on time and if you have a renter that is consistently, that is not the banks problem. If your renter is living from paycheck to paycheck then they are not going to end up being a reliable tenant. Furthermore, if YOU are also living so much from paycheck to paycheck that you do not have even just one months mortgage worth of buffer to ensure that you can make the payment on time regardless of when the tenant pays you, then you should reconsider whether you have the financial stability to be a landlord. What you should be doing is paying the mortgage on time and charging a late fee to your tenant which you get to keep for yourself. The late fees you keep from your tenant can be banked as insurance for when the tenant is so late that you have to end up making two mortgage payments before getting paid by your late tenant. If you want to be a landlord, that's how it works. You have zero recourse against the tenant if they drag your credit through the mud due to your passing the blame on your tenant for your late mortgage.
This person has been calling me every day now for a week and not leaving any messages. Finally had a cahnce to answer the call and this 'Erica' person would not confirm who she was and what she was calling about until I confrimed who I was. When I refused she hung up. If this is indeed Citimortgage. Wow! My payments are timely so not sure why I am being harassed.
