foreign accent people keep calling from various numbers and names and saying if they dont hear from me or my attorney soon that I am going to be sorry. do not disregard this call all I can do is pray that God be with you.
I keep getting calls from several number. This number said he was with Windows, and asked if I was at my computer. He said my Windows is at risk, and he was calling to solve my issue. I asked for a return number so I could call him back. He gave me 800-317-6321 which is an Insurance company. After reading some of these comments, I think Im ready for my next call. Im going to get a little info, and play along( so they think)!
Called twice today, didn't answer. Don't answer if you don't know who is calling folks. If it is important or serious, they will leave a message. If they are calling your cellphone, there are apps that block these phising scams calls. Apple just added a block feature, and I am using it so well!
Called 2 days in a row. When I picked up, the phone rang on the transmitting end as if I was calling, which I wasn't. Man with a foreign accent asked if I was so-and-so (me). First day I confirmed my name and the man said, "The reason I'm calling is to let you know that your PayDay loan application for $1500 was approved. Do you still need that loan?" I said, "No," and he hung up before I could ask any questions. Today the same call came from a different number. Without confirming who I was I asked who HE was. (It was the same voice as the previous day.) Rather than answering the question, he repeated the bit about the loan approval. I asked how the application was submitted and by whom. He was tongue-tied and I told him I was trying to find out if there has been a case of identity theft, so "who submitted the loan application?!!" I'm not sure at what point he hung up, but he obviously wasn't prepared to have his intentions challenged.
Guy with a thick accent called and asked for Benjamin ...I told him he had the wrong number .then he asked who I was and I told him he was calling me !! Why is he asking who I was and I proceeded to ask him who he was ..he stated his name was Benjamin ! He kind of freaked me out he was talking in a creepy manner ! BLOCKING THIS NUMBER
This person called me today and when I said I couldn't understand them they started cursing at me saying F**K YOU and what not. The man had a heavy accent but I couldn't understand anything else that was said. I earlier in the day received a call from someone who sounded very similar but from NY 646-807-2871. I'm not sure what this is all about but I will be reporting it to somewhere once I figure out the appropriate avenue and will let everyone know where.
A man with a middle Eastern accent called claiming they were "Windows" and said they received updates that I had troubleshooting problems and they needed all my information about my windows ID, etc. I said, " I did not contact windows. You are a fraud. Do not call this number again."
I have received two calls from this number. They always come at around 6 AM and the speaker is someone struggling with speaking English. The first was to tell me that if I had given birth to a still born child I could get legal help from his organization. I hung up. The second came today at the same time saying that the loan I had applied for had been approved. I have not applied for a loan and I told him to put this number on his 'do not call list'. At that he asked to speak to my husband. He did't
I live in Georgia, and today at 1:31 P.M. on the 01/21/2014 this man with an Indian accent called and my sister picked up the phone. He stated that he knew I had a computer problem. He stated he worked for Microsoft, and was there to help me. He wanted us to give him our pin number. My sister was shock because we do have computer problem, but we did not tell anyone. She told him no she will not give him any information, and how did he know? My sister hanged up the phone. I believe he may be some sort of hacker, which is how he is getting people's information.
