I received a message to return a call to Carson Smithfield at 877-630-5816 about "personal business matter." I called the number and "John" answered. He told me he had information about my Advanta account and wanted social security information from me. I told him I do not have an Advanta account and could he please send me or email information as I was not giving out information on the phone to a stranger. He told me he could not send information because he didn't know who HE was talking to. I asked him to call the number on his records and I was told he couldn't do that and since I wasn't giving him any information he would "proceed."
When I called the number back the women Identified the location as Carson Smthfield. When i asked her what they where she said, " a Financial institutions". I told her that I was not interested in anything like that and to stop calling my cell phone 4-5 tmes a day. She instantly got rude and biligerent. She was an american and not a foreigner.
These people have been harassing me for weeks. I have told them that I am not the person they seek on multiple occasions and the calls keep coming in. I have begged them and pleaded with them to take my number off of their rotation but it has not been done. I searched the internet for the phone number to their corporate headquarters and it isn't available anyplace. Today, after the 20th call from these idiots, I filed a formal complaint with the FCC. If this harassment continues, I am going to sue Carson Smithfield LLC in Woodbury New York for their violations. I have already started gathering evidence including dated caller ID photos and all records of my correspondences to them by mail, along with my complaint to the FCC.
I get at least 2 calls A DAY from these idiots!! Never leave me a voicemail and when i call it just rings and rings. Once time i finally was able to answer and they seem to think they can scare me with their scam. " you owe X amount to X old company and we bought that debt. Luckily i monitor my credit report and Know they are full of ****! So i just hang up or tell them they need to send me information before i talk to them about anything and acording to them they are un able to! Weird i know! I just cant figure out where they got my name and number and how to get them to STOP CALLING ME! Ughhh super frustrating!
I just got a call from them, the message they identified themselves as card work servicing, When I called it was Carson Smithfield. I asked for their address she gave it to me. I will send them a letter asking they only contact me by mail, and that they verify the debt. Hopefully they will continue to harass me and I can sue them and make $1000. Everybody have a nice day!
after seeing this number repeatedly on my caller ID I decided to answer, they never identified themselves and asked for someone who does not live here....called the numbert back and asked them WHO they are and they identifed themselves as Carson Smithfield, asked WHO are you what do you do and they refused to say.... claimed they would not be calling back but I don't believe them...
Trying to collect on a bill that's been charged off. He wasn't that nice and I didn't know of this company until he explained but his explanation sounded made up and yes, he asked for my SSN but I didn't give it to him. I'm trying to raise my son on a tixed income. They have no rights especially since the company who was handling this debt is another company.
I get at least three calls a day from this company. They only leave a request that I call them back. If they don't leave a specific message it means is not important to me or them. I anoying to receive this calls somtimes after 10PM of my time.
Received a recorded phone call with instructions to call them if they were calling the wrong person. I did and Lyn answered. She refused multiple times to tell me what the company did. She asked what our last name was, and I asked her what last name she had. It was the wrong name, and I told her (it took several attempts - she did not seem to be exceptionally bright) that the person she was calling did not live here. I repeatedly asked her what the company did, and she told me it didn't matter. She said they had talked to someone at our number, but she would take the number off if I said it was incorrect. She was very rude, and I can only hope she actually took our number off her list.
