Shoreline American, 732 357-2579, asking for a ONE time donation for the Veterans of 9/11. I was taken back....because I was a "victim" of 9/11 and we had no Military Veteran's involved, other than the fighter fighters and local police....so I KNEW this call was a total scam! I explained that I don't have any money for food, which is the truth, but if I had some...I definately help those in need and hung up. The man on the phone was "taken back" by my own hardship and didn't pressure me but regardless, this was a scam!
Told me my warranty on my vehicle was up and wanted me to purchase and extended warranty. I told them I they were wrong I have the extended warranty. I then asked them who they represent and they hung up. I tried calling back but just got a recording saying they are closed. Next time they call I'm really going to s***w with them.
Received call from 732-357-3499. Caller ID shows it as Shoreline America. I am on do not call list and answered to let them know they are breaking the law. A woman who didn't speak English very well got on and asked for my wife. I asked who was calling and she said Vehicle Processing Center. I said your ID comes up as Shoreline America so who the h**l are you and what do you want. She answered by asking if I was the husband, and I said let me ask you again, who are you, what do you want and what is the name of your company so I can report you for breaking the do not call list.l I then heard her stutter uh uh uh and then she clicked off the line. Why can't politicians pass a law forcing telecommunications companies to publish the real names and address of their subscribers and keep a complaint log. After a certain number of complaints, the telecommunications company has to freeze their outgoing service or face stiff fines for not taking measures to comply with the do not call register.
