Caller ID said "Jara Jorge". Caller had a heavy Indian accent, said he was with Windows support services and claimed to have detected a problem with my computer, it was about to crash. When I said we had 5 computers and asked him which one it was, he said I had to turn one of them on and give him some information to figure it out. I asked for a callback number, he gave me a bogus number that had more than 10 digits. Then I asked why his caller ID said Jara Jorge if he was really from Windows, he hung up the phone.
Heavy eastern accent, said something about my computer about to crash. I could not understand him because of accent and hung up. Received another call 10 minutes later from "Avila S" (on caller ID) (951) 205-0445 which was man with some sort of accent, mentioning computer and I hung up on him. Not sure if they were related calls.
The caller was a female with a strong Middle-eastern accent who claimed to be from Windows and that they had a technician on hand to fix a virus that our comp had apparently contracted. I played along and they put the male "technician" on the line (who also had similar accent). He said to press the Windows key and "R" key at the same time so he could have access to our computer and thus show me the virus. At this point, I told them that I didn't buy it and he became a bit panicky. That's when I hung up on him. I attempted to call their number and ***** with these ***-hats a bit, but it said the number was out of service.
This number 718-205-0445 with caller ID of Jara Jorge has called my number several times, usually every day. This time I picked up the phone and asked to please remove me from their lists. The person on the other end replied: "No, I won't take you from our list and I will call you every day. Again I repeated " I do not want you to call me and if you do I will report you to the FCC" caller (women) replied " OK you can do that" and disconnected. I want to stop harassing phone calls, which these types of call are.
Said he represented Macintosh computers and was my service technician. I do not know how I would use a tech in New York, so I told him I was not interested. He said he detected a virus on my computer. I asked him how. I was having a hard time understanding him. I told him if I had a problem I would take it to my local Apple store in Iowa.
This call went on my answering machine, I don't pick up if I don't recognize the number. The message was actually a cross between 2 or 3 lines; I heard several people talking, each one trying to figure out who they were talking to...It was quite entertaining to listen to these 3 people, with their lines crossed (didn't think that happened in this era of technology) arguing and swearing at the guy who called (same middle eastern accent mentioned in other complaints). LOL
I have gotten 2 calls now from this person or persons. wanting to know if I had a pc and windows, After cutting him short and hanging up I did the reverse look up, it comes from NY and that does come up on caller id. but, it looks like there are 5 people under that number all different last names..
Call came in from NY (718) 205-0445. Informed me he was with Windows and that they had detected a virus on my computer. I hung up... He called me right back and was like "Why did you hang up on me? I told him I don't understand why you are calling me. He said oh your computer; I cut him off. What about my computer? He hung up. Hahaha! Go to H-E DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS!!
Jara Jorge called saying he was selling a Microsoft package to help with computer efficiency & virus control. A credit card number was given. The charge on the credit card bill was $349.99. The name of the company on credit card statement was DRI*Titanium in Minnesota.
Heavy accent. Could not understand. Something about windows. Then I could hear him talking to some one else and he told them to shut up. I could hear him but something went wrong with my phone and he could not hear me. He asked if I was a business. Called several times when I was not home and then I answered the last call.

Got a call from the 718-205-0445 number, saying my computer is heavily infected with viruses. I asked about 10 times (seriously, it was about that many) which program on my computer is communicating with their server to send them these warning messages. It's not a program, they are getting warning messages. I kept pressing to know how my computer is sending these warning messages, when I was transferred to a supervisor who could better help me. This individual tried to get me to go to the front of my computer so I could "see with my own eyes" just how bad the problem is. I asked instead that he tell me one or two of the specific virus names, and I could do my own research into them. Back and forth with this, never getting any virus names. Eventually, after I let him know that I don't trust an unsolicited call telling me that my computer is infected with unnamed viruses, he informed me that they weren't going to be able to help me, then, and have a nice day. Wonder if I should have played along just to see where this went? Also wish my Linux system were working right now (CPU fan died last week).
