The guy that answered would not give me his name, called me stuck up, said that they could not remove our number from their list and said that the telemarketer laws do not apply to the Bahamas. Funny cause they are in MICHIGAN!!!! Someone needs to do something about these calls to stop them!!!!! JUST AN FYI, IF YOIU ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST THEY CANNOT CALL YOU!!!!!
Recording saying they are calling about your credit card balance and this is your second and final call (I wish). They are trying to scare you about your credit cards so they can get your information. (We don't have credit cards). You can't get them to stop calling either. I have asked then to remove me from their calls and they hang up but call again a few days later.
These people are just lowlife scammers. Why do we have a no call list if nothing is done about people like this. This bunch has a bank of phone numbers they use and while our leaders are out jetting around the world on our money we have to put up with this ****. Washington, Eric Holder, do your job and shut these telemarketers down
They called me on my cell, but left no message. This phone is on the Do Not Call and I make sure to renew that when it expires. I don't give this number out to many people and would like to know that the calls I get to my number are calls I actually want to answer.
Caller ID said it was 616 613 2227. Pressed 1 to see if I could get name and location and incidentally tie up some live employee time. THe live caller said it was "Credit Management Systems of Orlando FL". The pitch was the same as the infamous "Rechel" calls. Reported it to the Federal Trade Commission.
Recording was talking before my answer machine started recording "This is your 2nd & final notice to lower your credit card & payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage today." Called yesterday from 616-613-2229 same recording.
These guys are now calling every day, and sometimes twice/day, despite our being on the do not call list and having files complaints online. They are callinf from 616-613-2227 (Zeeland, MI) lately, bit I think it's originating from another number/location. They either hang up when asked to stop or questioned, but sometime use really offensive language if you give them any grief. How can this be so flagrant yet there be no consequences for them. Shut these scumbags down now!!!!
BEST WAY TO COMBAT THESE OFFENSIVE CALLS IS TO BERATE THEM WITH VILE LANGUAGE WHICH THEY DO NOT LIKE TO HEAR. IT MAY BE DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO SPEAK FOUL LANGUAGE TO THEM BUT IT WORKS. ALSO, BELITTLE THEM WITH THE FACT THAT THEY ARE WORKING FOR $6. PER HOUR WHEN THEY COULD BE DOING MUCH BETTER IF THEY GOT A REAL JOB.
These yahoos have been calling me for months. Just hanging up has no effect, so the last couple times I pushed "1" to talk to a real person. They answered without giving the company name or even their first name. As soon as I said something other than "Yes, I'm interested..." they immediately hung up. I finally have started filing complaints with the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints, and will continue to do so. Perhaps if enough of us do that, this particular company will have enough complaints that they rise to the top of the FCC enforcement list.
Just curious. Can these telemarketers call cell phones? I was just thinking, with 7+ billion on the planet, why would they ever have to call the same person twice? Called yesterday and left a reduce-your-credit message. Called today and left no message. You'd think these scumbags would get sick of listening to generic voice mail messages again and again.
