Robo call recorded 26 September 2013 (FBI crime stats, "Free" Alarm system & small sign) SCAM Caller ID: "Columbus OH" Called recently from: (314) 666-8369 | (914) 219-0098 | (415) 375-0922 | (586) 231-3711 | (913) 279-0536 | (480) 999-5637 | (518) 292-6634 I blocked these people over 3 months ago, but they've changed their numbers and are calling again. Who writes their copy now, lawyers? They mention "...no cost whatsoever.." three times! These people call whether you're on the Do Not Call list or not. Doesn't that suggest something about them? Don't bother to press 9 to be removed from their predictive dialer, they won't. Much better not to answer calls whose Caller ID you don't recognize. I couldn't record the call this time, but it was exactly like another call from them during the summer, except they're using a male voice now: "<male voice>Hello. The FBI reports there was a home break in every 15 seconds. Your local police recommend you protect your home. If you will allow us to place a small sign in your yard, we will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. There is no cost for the system or the installation whatsoever. To hear more, press 1 now. To be placed on our Do Not Call list, press 9. If this number calls me one more time, there will be a lawsuit against this company. I have asked several times to be put on their do not call list. I am getting calls from these people everyday. My friends are also getting the same calls and have had it up to here.
Does this type of harassment work? Do people really change their minds after the 12th unsolicited cell phone call, interupting work and famly dinner time, and finally say, "Well, okay, if you insist..." This company needs to seriously rethink their marketing strategies .....
This number called me and just wanted to let this site know since other people have gotten phone calls and if it is the security company they have called me before and I haven't taken my phone number offf of there list and they are still calling me
Don't know if it's telemarketer or scammer or what, just know I'm sick and tired of the harassment. Over the last two months they have called almost every day, sometimes two times a day. I've not answered, hung up on, and told them to take my name off their list at LEAST 20 times, somebody HAS TO DO SOMETHING!! I'm in the process of trying to Google and BBB them to get more info and contact the attorney general, and whoever else deals with this type of solicitation harassment, especially when they have been told to stop so many times.
This company has called me from over 25 different phone numbers across the US more than 100 times. I'm not exaggerating. I have blocked every single number they have used, and once they figure it out, they call from a different number. I then have to block the new number. By the way, these are all calls to my cell phone. NOT ACCEPTABLE and NOT LEGAL. The call is for a security system, the same recording. My standard practice now is not to answer a long distance number I don't recognize and then I search online to find out that number is selling the security system (with the same lying recording)
This company calls me on a regular basis trying to sell me a security system. I am on the no-call list. I have pressed 9 to be removed from their call list--no luck. I have talked with a live person and asked them not to call. I told one caller I would report him to the FTC, and he told me "good luck with that." The numbers change regularly, but I have received 3 calls from this 614-516-0280 number in the past three months. Last week the call came from a different number. I can't count the number of times I have heard this recording in the past year. So annoying.
I have the same complaints as everyone else. If you press #1 for more info, the recording states this promotion is no longer available, then disconnects. If you press #2 to be removed from calls, we all know it doesn't happen. How many complaints must be lodged for someone to take action???????
