Kept getting almost daily calls from same name but different numbers. Says their name is Halsted.

This number calls me at least twice a week, sometimes more.

Continuous calls from these numbers, no messages left. When I pick up, no one is on the other end of the calling party line. The numbers change, but the caller ID always reads Halsted. I think I'll try calling them back when I have a soundboard up on my pc, and prank them with Howard Stern, or R.Lee Ermy.

Getting calls at least 2 times a day....never a live person, never leaving a call back message or leaving a gibberish message.....I have good no reason for a bill collector to be calling....my number is unlisted and I am on a do not call list (for all the good that does ?).

Send them a letter (CERTIFIED) with attention to Accounting Department (no check) just a simple letter saying: Dear (company name) You are hereby informed to CEASE AND DESIST any and all phone communications with me as per my rights according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.(FDCPA) The only avenue you may communicate with me is via USPS (United States Postal Service) Your failure to comply with this notice will be met swift action taken aganst your firm and EACH authorized representative as per the law for EACH infraction. In addition to you being reported to the governing authorities in your State as well as Federal. Sincerely, You Name

I have recieved this call often also. I waited for the rep to get onto the phone he was disrepectful and demanding me to pay a debt that i did not owe. I told him that i would like for his company to send me proof of this debt and he told me that it was not his responsibility. Then proceded to threating to take me to court. So i looked up this number and found it was based in Madison WI but this is a scam. These people are using Halsted Financial Services 1822 North Ridge Ave, Evanston, IL 60201-5928 name. Please Please call the real company (800) 284-6066 as I did and report these criminals.

Does not leave any voice mail message. I returned the call and they answer by saying, "Did you get a call from our office?" The person doesn't even identify himself. The caller ID name is Halsted.

I keep getting calls once a day at my business, when I answer the phone it is a recording asking for someone and if I press "o" I can talk to a representitive. I did so and the *** on the other end of this call asked for someone again and I told him this was a business and stop tying up my line and take us OFF this list . This man just kept right on asking questions and wanted to talk to HR Dept. told him I was the owner and AGAIN stop calling I finally hung up and they are still calling. Who do I need to talk to to get rid of this **** ?? I'm in Memphis, TN. Thanks

Stop these unwanted calls that are coming to me several times daily. I will report this number to the FCC if the calls don't stop now.

They call and say i have an outstanding balance! I have never recieved anything else besides phone call, they dont leave messages, and when you call back it says mailbox is full.

Calls severaltimes a week. No one there when I answer

Continues to call. When I ask to send me a statement, he tells me he has. Gave me his name very quickly. I asked him again, and he just talks over me. I ask what the name of the agency was, and he says that quickly. Calls during the late evening. Very rude and talks over me. Talked to this person twice and we yet still not been able to settle anything because I have not yet to receive a bill statement.

Calls 3-4 times a week, when I answer I only hear a computer prompted voice. No messages are left.

They call my cell and work numbers very rude trying to get me to pay a debt that is not mine and when i ask for stuff to be sent they get rude and belligerent and say they have sent me info which they never have

Received calls from this phone number in which they asked for another person. I told them they had the wrong number but they continued to call me, even leaving a pre-recorded message for the other person they are trying to reach, which I assume to be someone who used to have my phone number, because I've received calls for this same name at times in the past. I called them and asked them not to call me, and the first person I spoke with was rude and insisted I was the other person that they were calling for. (!???!!) . I asked what company they were and they refused to answer. I assume they are a collection agency as no one else would have the motivation to waste their time calling the wrong number over and over. I called again and spoke to someone else who said "we'll take your name off our list" but they continue to call me, trying to reach someone else. How much time will they waste calling the wrong number again and again, calling me trying to reach someone else? Because I, llike many other people, have the problem of receiving far too many illegal telemarketing calls, in spite of being on the do not call list, I generally screen all phone calls. For that reason it doesn't bother me too much if some idiots are calling me regularly trying to reach someone else: eventually they'll give up with this stupid waste of time. HOwever, I did file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and will also call the state Atttorney General's office about this.

THIS COMPANY KEPT CALLING ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND NOT LEAVING A MESSAGE UNTIL I GOT FED UP AND CALLED BACK. WHEN I CALLED BACK I GOT A RAY SMITH WHO WAS TO MY SURPRISE, VERY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. HE INFORMED ME THAT I OWED A CASH ADVANCE PAYDAY LOAN TO WESTERN SKY AND A CREDIT CARD BILL TO ORCHARD BANK AND I HAD LOOKED ALL OVER LOUISIANA FOR THESES ACCOUNTS. I CHECKED MY CREDIT REPORTS AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW THEY WERE ACTUALLY SENT TO HALSTED FINANCIAL SERVICES AT 877 523 2194 LIKE HE SAID. HE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT ON BOTH ACCOUNTS AND TOOK THE PAYMENTS WITH CHECKS RIGHT OVER THE TELEPHONE FOR FREE. I EVEN JUST GOT MY LETTERS TO SHOW I PAID THEM OFF. I THOUGHT THEY WERE SELLING SOMETHING BUT I WAS WRONG WHEN I CALLED THEM BACK AND I AM GLAD I DID. SO IF YOU OWE MONEY JUST CALL THEM BACK TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FINANCIAL AND MORAL OBLIGATIONS.
