I got a call from this number with a pre-recorded message that "This is your second and final call to lower your credit card interest rates." I pressed "1" to speak to a representative and asked where they had gotten my phone number. I was told from the bank that issues your Visa card. I said I have three Visa cards so I need to know which bank that would be. *I have only one Visa Card and that one has not had a balance on it in 5 years." The representative again said the one that issued your visa card. I then told her that my bank does not sell or publish that information and that this was a cold-call telemarketing service. The representative actually laughed as she disconnected. Another scam to get your personal information for credit card fraud! BEWARE!
Got a call from 510-201-5536, my caller id showed it was from Echosystems. Got the recorded message about lowering my interest rate; when I pushed "1" to speak to someone, the man answered and asked if I was calling to "lower my interest rate", I said "No" and before I could say anything more he hung up. I am on the do not call registry, but that doesn't seem to matter to these scammers!
I keep getting calls from this number. It has a taped message about my final notice to lower my credit card interest rates. When I speak to their representative and advise them I am not interested and want the calls to stop, they just disconnect. The calls keep coming and this number is registered on the Do Not Call list.
Like the other complainants, I received automated calls about my "credit card as it relates to the financial stimulus". The recording gives only one option - to press 1 for more information. Then I hang up since there is no option to be deleted and I do not want to have them decide that this constitutes a relationship with the company. (That means they can continue to call you!) I too am on the DoNotCall list.
Call from this number: .510-201-5536 pre-recorded message "This is your second and final call to lower your credit card interest rates." I Called the number back & got recording with options. option # 2 was to put your phone # on their "Do not call list".
Call registered on caller ID as Echosystems. Initiated as a recorded message and I opted to speak to a representative. When I asked to be placed on a NO CALL list, they abruptly hung up. I strongly suspect a scam operation fishing for credit card information.
As with everyone else, I keep getting these calls. Finally, I pressed 1 to speak with a rep and as soon as I said please remove my number from your call list - "John" hung up on me. Next time they call, I may just press 1 and not say anything - just let them hang on the line. I am sure they will hang up pretty quick though.
This number calls me at least 3 times a week. I have talked to someone at least 20 times and asked them to stop but as soon as you do they hang up. I have also pressed the response to not receive another call and be dropped off there list, obviously that does not work.
Recorded message about last chance to lower my debt. My number is on the Do No Call list, so this is clearly not a legitimate call. Got a rude shock when I tried to go on the Do Not Call site to report it - they are closed due to the government shut down..... oh well.
Keep getting these "press one now to learn the terms and conditions.........This is your final notice." The same dang message with many different names and numbers on the caller ID. Been happy for quite a few months now. I'm going to buy a call blocker and put an end to this ****!
I just got a call from these guys with the same automated 2nd and final call and the BS about stimulus. (I can only hope it is my final call!) I pressed 1 and debated with this idiot for about 10 minutes. He was pretty good. Kept keeping up his speil. He finally gave up when I told him I have no credit card and no debt. (true) (edit) I just went to the Do Not Call Registry to file a complaint. Go figure, it is not currently available due to the givernment shutdown!
I am having the same problem. They call every day. Yesterday I hit "1" and said I wanted to be removed from the call list. The guy laughed and said, "Not gonna happen" and then hung up. They called again today and again I hit "1". When I told the girl what happened yesterday, she hung up. I have no doubt there will be another call tomorrow.
Echosystems 510-201-5536 appeared on my caller ID. Robo-caller message said something in line with the other complaints- a final notice to lower your credit card bills. I pressed 1 to speak to a rep. When he answered I asked, 'Who is this?' and the scammer/fraudster just hung up.
Got a call from 510-201-5536, my caller id showed it was from Echosystems. Got the recorded message about lowering my interest rate; when I pushed "1" to speak to someone, the man answered and asked if I was calling to "lower my interest rate", I said "Yes". He then asked me the total amount of credit card debt that I had. I told him before we discuss anything I would need his name and company name. The line then went dead. I am on the do not call register, but that doesn't seem to matter with this type of call.
Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't pick up and there was no message left. I've been getting a lot of calls from telemarketers on my cell phone lately despite being on the "Do Not Call" Registry. I'm hoping those that enforce the registry will do something about these calls as they are becoming a nuisance.
