Said from U.S. Mortgage. Never heard of them. I googled and found such a company, but checked the locations and this area code did not match any of their locations. At first, they said they were following up on my phone call/inquiry. I did not contact them. Then they started into pushing me into refinancing for their low rates. If this isn't a scammer, it is, at least, an unethical way to get someone to refinance. Also, it was hard to understand the caller because he spoke broken English...I couldn't place the accent.
Received a voice mail saying that they had received my 'order' this AM and gave me a claim no. Then he went on to say that I needed to call back and give them an address to send 'formal notice' of a claim against me to. And then he got real stern sounding and said I have one chance to call them and gave settle this claim against me. Crazy! Makes it sound like a debt collector, but then everything else I see about their calls makes them sounds like a mortgage refi. co. I know I'm not calling them back, not falling for ridiculous scare tactics. If someone has reason to have a legitimate claim against me for something, it would stand to reason they'd already have my address, too!
once he identified himself as being from a mortgage company, and one that does not hold my mortgage, I told him to remove me from his directory. After having been called 3-4 times daily, I have not received another call in the last 2 days.
Since at least February 5th, this number has called at least 3 times daily. When it goes to voicemail, it's a hangup. I finally answered it once to find out what they want and to tell them not to call anymore, and it was an automated message that wasn't even English.
I've spoken with these people at least 5 times and have received more than 20 calls from them in the past week. I've asked them 5 times to take us off the CALL LIST and put us on the DO NOT CALL LIST! They ask me if I want my mortgage reduced and I tell them I am locked into a 3.55% rate and do not need their service. They are very very annoying and I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau now!
Seems like call from an automated machine. I have a recycle can by my mail-box at home and a "Delete call" button on my phone. I utilize both when unwanted mail/ call is received. It's not worth talking to these people. They are trying to collect your personal information in the pretext of mortgage re-financing. NEVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE OR GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. YOU COULD BE A VICTIM OF IDENTITY THEFT BEFORE YOU KNOW!!!
