I tried again today to tell them to quit calling me. I'm on the "National Do Not Call List" and before I got all of it out the woman hung up on me and would not let me finish my statement. You call the number it says "The person you are trying to call is unavailable, please try your call again later."
Yes, it is a bill collection agency. No, it is not a scam. If someone had a debt, they have a right to call them. The National No Call List is for solicitors, they are bill collectors. People should stop complaining about being called by bill collectors and just pay your bills or stop signing for things you know you can't afford. With these people, you can actually workout a settlement with them. For example, if you owe $5000, you can probably settle for $2000. Pay the $2000 and your credit score goes up. People, stop looking at bill collectors like they are evil when they are trying to help you. And stop listening to disgruntled employees that were most likely fired because they couldn't do their job or was probably doing something at work they had no business doing.
Yes it is a scam and the employees get treated like garbage!! Point blank period CRS is the most disgusting and unprofessional place I have EVER worked for. And the "disgruntful" employees who got fired because they were doing their job right comment? HA! At least some of is can say we have a legit job now. CRS IS A SCAM!
Wow...telling debtors that if they pay a certain amount of money their credit score will go up...now they not only have to liability under the FDCPA, but the Credit Repair Act as well. If they tell you this in a conversation, get them to put it in writing. then run, don't walk, to a consumer attorney and sue them. They used to have 2 offices, one in Dallas and one in Plano,m TX. Word has it that the Dallas location has been shut down, and most of those employees are no unemployed.
Please note this is not a bill collector. This is a scam. They have been trying to harrass me at home and even went as far as threatening my husband. I informed them that I gave financial proxy to a debt consolidation company and if they wanted to get paid, they needed to contact them. This Mr. Green insisted I deal with him. When I checked my debt consolidation, it showed this debt had already be settled - so report this company to the Better Business Bureau right away if you have a problem with them. I pay my debts on time and am very responsible - I am contacting the authorities if this person contacts me again.
I was a client and they (CRS) is responding just like the people they call every day. They collected money for me and now refuse to pay the agreed amount, Which is not close to my entitlement. They settled when it was not an option I gave. They misled me from the get go and feed me full of ****. Again I was A client collecting money. So what collection agency goes after collection agencies that don't pay?
Kyle David is trying to collect on a debt that has been satisfied. This debt was also removed from all 3 credit bureaus. He said he was contacting my employer to start a wage garnishment. I know the laws so I knew he was using scare tactics to get me to pay this. I consulted an attorney. My attorney was currently filing a lawsuit on them in there Florida office. This company has filed Bankruptcy so I wasn't able to recover any damages. DO NOT let these people scare you. Educate yourself on your rights. They are harmless.

As I've read here, it was CRS, requesting a callback regarding a "case" he had received, wondering if I was aware of "what was going on". I now realize, thanks to this site, that this is a scam, and I will not be returning his call. I have great credit, have never failed to pay a debt, and certainly am not going to fall prey to this.
As others have posted, CRS filed bankruptcy last November. If they collected money on your behalf AFTER they filed, you have the basis for filing an administrative claim in their bankruptcy, which gets you a priority on payment. If it was before they filed, then you will be an unsecured creditor, and lumped in with all of the others. In either case, you should contact an attorney experienced in creditor's rights.
I got a call from this company today telling me they would put a "red flag" on my social security number if I didn't pay the debt. She went as far as threatening to take 35% of my paycheck. She wouldn't give me a chance to verify if anything she was telling me was true and even mentioned that if I were to declare bankrupcy I would not be able to declare the pending debt I have with their customer which is incorrect. I don't know how this company has been able to keep their company up on running with all these false statements they feed debtors with. I am seeking for legal help and plan on doing something about it. Not nice "Mrs. Shepard"!!!!
Maybe CRS should pay their bills, and court judgments. Who owes Fed Ex, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Office Max.... the list goes on CRS. Pay your bills or stop signing things like leases for luxury boxes at Texas Stadium that you can't afford. Or maybe pay your judgments when you get sued.
