last 3 days they have called not leaving a message or just hanging up. I'll assume it is a telemarketer as most are reporting it as. I generally do not answer the phone when I do not know who is calling. my screening process.to me if they can't leave a message then they are scammers and pranksters and I don't have time for them.. Ever!
There is a class action lawsuit against this company and the attorney to contact is:
The plaintiff, Cheri Astrahan, alleges that Pacific Telecom violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by participating in millions of unsolicited telemarketing calls against residential phone numbers, including her own. The plaintiff in this case is represented by the law firm Finkelstein and Krinsk LLP, which specializes in class action litigation. I went to their website and filled out a contact form and asked to be added to the class action lawsuit. Maybe everyone should do the same.
Caller: CallerID4U, Inc.
Call Type: Telemarketer
Everyone should join in on the lawsuit and put a stop to this ongoing criminal organization.
The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com
In their own words: 'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'
You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them.

There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations: http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com
This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez. They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls. They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.
This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. ß310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
Please take a moment to report this call via an online complaint to regulators.

Automated. One time I stayed on the line long enough to hear the question. Have you or someone in your household requested more information about social security? I have heard that if you are automatically dialed to enter ### and that will throw your number out of the system, because it confuses the computer. I tried that today, hopefully this number will not call anymore.
I also asked the lawfirm who has a lawsuit against this number to be added to the case, as someone suggested above.
Calls constantly, and when I blocked their number from my mobile phone they changed the last 2 numbers and keep calling. The second number is 458-201-0249. One website has them listed as having a class action lawsuit for a social security benefit scam. I just want them to quit calling. I don't pay for a mobile phone to be harrassed by them.
