I don't know how legitimate this service is, but I seem to get a call from Cardholder (or is it Cardmember?) Services, but the number is never the same. Today it was 435-880-7490. They wanted to offer me a lower interest rate, but it is a telemarketer at best or a scam/fraud at worst. If you select '1' to talk to someone, they immediately hang up when you ask who they are or why they are calling or how to make them stop. I didn't listen to the whole phone tree this time, but I'm pretty sure I've selected '2' for unsubscribe several times in the past with no change.
Same as above. "No problem with your credit card...." but offered to lower rates. Caller ID said "Cell Phone". I DID press 1 to talk to a live person. I'm getting this down to the bottom of this when I'm home to answer! Asked WHAT company... Said she wasn't with any company. ??? But then said she was with M/C & Visa. How can you work for BOTH??? Asked WHY my called ID said "cell phone" when it rang? She said it didn't. Ummm, yep, it did. Told her that my number was on the Do Not Call Registry. "Click" -- she hung up. :) Will keep this number on file (like I do the rest), and if they call again, they get fined.

A recorded message about " lowering interest rate on credit card debt". Phone number locator shows call came from Dutch John, UT. I am on "NO CALL" list yet I still receive these calls. The Telephone Consumer Act states that these violators can be sued in state court and fined up to $1500.00 for each violation. Might be something to get your state Attorney General involved in or complain to FCC @ http://www.fcc.gov/cgb.
I recieved a call from this number on my cell phone. When I answewred it said that it was carcd member services and if I wanted to lower my credit rate press "1". I did and about a minute later a guy picked up. He asked if I was inquiring about lowering my APR on my Visa/Mastercard. I told him that I guess and that I was just following the prompt from the call I got. He then asked how much I currently owe and which card and when I asked him "Shouldn't you know what I owe and which card since you are from my credit card company?" and he didn't respond and hung up. When I tried to call the number back, it had a message that stated that it wasn't a callable number. It's a bullshit scammer trying to get credit card info from dumb unsuspecting people and he needs to be locked up.
they call my cell phone from different numbers from around the country. There is an option if you want to talk to a real person. There is no option to have your number removed from their list. I have opted out many times from AMA telemarketing services but still receive too many phone calls.
No option given to be removed - so I followed prompt, and a lady answered asking if I was inquiring about lowering my rates. I replied with "could I please speak to your manager or supervisor", she promptly hung up on me. I called the number back, but it appears as though it was a spoofed phone number.
I didn't answer but checked here first. They didn't leave a message. This was to my cell phone...I'm on the do not call list. I never answer unrecognized phone numbers but will call back those who leave a message. These messages never are made.
This caller was a telemarketer with a little bit of a 'street' accent, but more than likely a scammer/fraudster.
I told him to stop calling, but not only did he say no... He said that he will keeping calling and call my kids after I die!
That's a complete threat to me. Anyone have suggestions on how to find out who these people are?
