Just received a call from this no. claiming that they're from LRS Litigation stating that they have a case against me from my bank and a on-line payday loan. I told them had no idea about it, and she just kept going and going on about they're going to court. I told them if you guys have my info, then why are you talking to me?! Waited for a minute then asked the same question again. She kept on running her mouth NOT answering my question, so she received the dial tone.
Received call and several voicemails on were left saying there was a complain filed and I was being served a restraining order, blah, blah, blah. THIS IS A SCAM. I called them on it, telling them I knew it was a scam and they became vulgar and cursing me out. Best advice, hang up! They will try to tell you they have your personal information and they may have some of it - they had my SS# and address and said they were coming to my home...I reported them to the local police. I believe they are harmless pranks and scammers with nothing better to do.
company is LRS Litigation and claiming to have filed a case against me. Said they have a restraining order, have 24 hours to respond (attorney) and that a notice to appear has been filed with the court systems. When I mentioned my attorney would be calling them, the phone call was ended abruptly.
Got the same type of call as above, only I called the Cleveland Police, and had my attorney call as well, the number goes to a private lady named Kay Mathis, the number is a cell phone number from Verison Wireless. My attorney told this fool that if he called again, his *** is going to jail. He hung up fast.
This number left message about a restraining order and was going to call my employer next. I call and this guy states I owe Westwood Financial for payday loans and I told him that I have no idea what he is talking about. I don't owe this place. He wouldn't listen and said that hehoped I enjoyed court and would get my subpeona soon and hung up.I called back and iItit goes directly into a voicemail of Kate Mathis. It is a scam!!!! I would have to say it was mild compared to some scams I have received before. I don't back down regardless. I'm tired of these **** people though.
I received several messages on my answering machine. My husband was like what's going on? I figured it was a scam, and I am glad I looked this up. Now I can tell him to chill. Thanks for the info. Can't they charge this woman with some type of fraud or something???
I received a message last week and again today, April 23rd from this number 216-644-1249. The guy had a foreign accent and he may have given his name, but I don't remember and I don't care. He said that they were refraining from calling my employer, there is a case against me, something about a restraining order, appearing in court... for the most part, the same messages that those other people have commented about...I am so sick and tired of these people and these scams...but I am not about to lose any sleep...
I for one am sick and tired of being harrassed by these despicable people claiming they are going to ruin my life. Hey, you will not get anything from me if I have no job! Stupid people and if you are going to contact people in the United States speak the language! Tired!
I also received a call from this number to my cell phone telling me that I owed money (which I do not) and that they were going to contact my employer, obtain a restraining order, and that I was going to have to show cause for a complaint being filed against me. That my lawyer and I would have 24 hours to contact them. It was a recorded message with no company name or phone number given. When I tried to call it back, it was sent to a voice mail for the office of Kay Matthews with LRS Litigation. They wanted me to leave my e-mail address and other info. I hope it is a scam.
Just got a call from these con artists. Too bad they don't put this energy in finding honest work! NEVER give in to them. They used to have foreiners make the calls now they use an English speaking taped voice makeing these calls.
Kay....check your voicemails...the Better Business Bureau and about 100 people want to have a word with you. In addition this will be the 7th time I have spoke to someone who is rude and hangs up on me. Because you continue to dial the wrong number ...does not make this MY Problem. This is yours now. Ever hear of the Telecommunications Act of 1994. It prohibits such calls over and over again to a business. Especially when you have THE WRONG NUMBER. You have gone beyond the point of harrassment.
i have recieved three calls from a blocked number. The voicemail is a recording saying that there has been a complaint filed against me and a restrainting order. They left a number to call back and they would be calling my employer. Well thats funny to me cause every time i call the number back the mailbox is full and i dont have a job. I know this is a scam. I have a degree in Paralegal and when a company files a lawsuit against you they dont call you for one to tell you that is what they are doing and for two there would be no restraining order attached to anything. i have reported this number and i hope they get caught soon.
I had received three voice messages from this number on my cell today May 2nd saying that there had been a complaint filed against me and that I owed money for a pay day loan which I don't. They also said they were going to call my employer. I know this is one big scam and hope they get caught very soon.
Received the same type of call this morning (5/3). Caller ID showed Anonymous. Caller left the same type of 'scare tactic' message and indicated a return call to 216-644-1249. And of course call went straight to voice mail indicating mail box full. This is a common tactic where you can never reach a person and then the agency can then claim they were never contacted 'despite repeated attempts to reach you". Not sure if LHS Litigation is affiliated with LHS Debt Collection Group (Phone: 337-233-6300, http://www.lrshelp.com/)...but I called this number from my landline and using *67 to block my call...and asked if they had an employee named Kay Mathis. They indicated that they did not (as if they can be believed).
I received a voicemail from this number 216-644-1249 on my cell phone telling me that I owed money (which I do not) and that they were going to contact my employer. Concerning a restraining order, and that I was going to have to show cause for a complaint being filed against me. Additionally, the voicemail stated that my lawyer and I would have 24 hours to contact them. It was a recorded message with no company name or phone number given. When I tried to call it back, it was sent to a voice mail for the office of Kay Matthews with LRS Litigation.
I received this as a message>>Saying my name, *** XXXX, then they said that I had 24 hours to return this call ( 216-644-1249), that I had a complaint filed against me and that a restraining order is being made against me. Said I had to return the call. What Iam wondering is ..Is this going to people's cell phones or home phones?? I saw mention of Verizon and I have also seen complaints about this on other complaint web pages. Makes me wonder if some hacked into a certain cell phone carrier and got PERSONAL and PRIVATE information. Maybe we all should also check with our phone companies and let them know what's going on. Somehow, I think they may already know about this. It's just someone...trying to get a call back from someone that WILL give them more information about themselves. There is an internet crimes unit in the FBI, I am posting the link, maybe if we all also complain there too...they will check it out. I'm sure they can figure things out and PROSECUTE these FOOLS. http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/e-scams
