I've received more than 5 calls during the past two days from this number. The obviously foreign voice on the line tells me "Your computer is infected with a virus." and then wants me to log on. I told him to put my number on their "do not call list" to no avail.
I have received many calls from this number on my caller id. I answered today, before I realized the number.
The person on the call (a man with a heavy Indian accent) was very rude, aggressive and persistent.
He said that he was calling from the "Windows Operating Systems."
He asked me repeatedly to log onto my computer so he could "walk me through the error messages that MY computer was sending to THEM."
I challenged him - told him I was not interested in speaking with him - and he continued. I hung up.
This number called my house yesterday. Ive dealt with these numbers before Ive turned them over to the FBI, this is actually a criminal act they are doing, threatening people over the phone. Turn them in. I always saw stuff on here too..(/www.whycall.me)...
Received a call from this number a few times. Upon answering, the person on the other end told me that this is regarding my Windows operating system. After inquiring about which computer, he said, "your windows operating system in your home". I told him I did not having a windows operating system and the he didn't know what he was talking about. He then hung up.

I received a call telling me I had a problem with my computer and they lead me to the event viewer with a review of critical and warnings on my machine I am well aware of the issues on my machine since I am an IT professional and regularly review event manger for any issues on my machine. I have two NIC card with reserved IP address an it reports a false positive in DHCP since I do not require an IP assignment and task scheduler has delay issues with two Microsoft tasks
They tried to convince me I had a serious problem and connect to their web site via windows search, Rule of thump never go to untrustworthy websites. I have filed a complaint with there registrar the FTC and there hosting service
I woman called with thick accent, and of course I had had her repeat several times, who told me my computer called her, and I had problems with our computer.. Of course, I said "what, would you repeat that" she slowed down, and told me about our pc. I told her I didn't have a PC who would call her. She didn't know what to say, and I hung up.
This happened to us about 6 months ago, when some one with a similar story had called at 12:15AM and I told that person " do you know what time it is, and I repeated it over and over and they hung up on me." Tired of people thinking we will believe anything anyone says!!
This number called three times today. Guy with Indian accent. I asked for the name of his company, and he could barely pronounce it. He explained that our computer has been sending their server error messages. Very pushy and condescending. Told him he sounded totally fishy and that he should never call again. Here's hoping.
Man called me saying there was a problem with my Windows 7 computer. Very heavy accent and the phone line was full of static. He told me he needed me to log onto my computer and I cut him off before he could say anymore, told him my husband is an I.T. guy by profession and that I would not log onto my computer. He abruptly hung up the phone without saying "thank you" or "goodbye".
A man from that number called us this morning and told my daughter that there is something wrong with our new Dell computer which was delivered yesterday via UPS-He's calling back in a while as I was unavailable when he initially contacted us. Anyone have any suggestions about how to catch this person if and when he call backs?
guy called and stated my computer was calling his office, Microsoft Operating Systems Support Services and he was going to help me out with fixing my computer. I asked him which one, he said the one that you use. I asked him which operating system, he said Windows...(I was referring to which version)...he said Windows 2010 (of which, I don't have)...knew it was a scam, but wanted to take it to the end and figure out what he wanted....he then asked if it was OK to take over "your" computer remotely and fix the problem. At that point I put him on hold for about two minutes then asked him if h is Mother was proud of him....I feel that older less educated Americans can fall for this....please, every instance you get pass this fraud sceme along that NOBODY should be asking permission on a cold call to remote IN to your PC. Just hang up.
