he threatened me too and asked me to pay my debt with a money pak from walmart. He lied about his company name and said he was Samuelson law firm at 2020 Pennsylvania ave. completely bogus because Mr. Samuelson's law office deals with commercial real estate properties. Even he got numerous call from people telling him of the scammer using his company name as means to collect money. Hun report them to the FCC, IC3, BBB, Attorney General, and police.
There is no recorded message after like 8pm est time it goes to a busy signal. No one is going to jail. especially if you are threatened to pay a debt with a prepaid card from walmart. He really was frightening to me. Told me I had to leave my job the same sec just to get him the money pak card from walmart. and if I did not I will be jailed. No debt collector wants a money pak. Number two. He said I couldnt come to his office to pay the debt. I couldnt pay by mail, check, credit card or money order. Just money pak. He asked me if I was def or something. Then he repeatedly asked me whats up with all the questions. Cause I wanted to know who these people were. I had my husband call them and my sister. He yelled at them and said do not call this number again in a loud nasty voice and hung up on them. So I got smart. I forwarded all my calls from my phone to his phone. SO when he called me the call got send back to his line. I am not fooled. I was at first but debt collectors do not act like the way these abcs do. They send you legit paper work to support your debt in question and work with you on a payment option. They do not tell you that u must leave your job right away to get them the money. Especially not from Walmart or 7-11. Look if I was getting arrested I would have been in jail. they called me Monday. It is now friday and I am chilling in my bed with my family. lol ok dont buy their bologne. His call is coming from 14st and h st washington dc. but not sure of the exact. I am going to drive by the building tomorrow and fill you guys in on what I find.
Same thing as you all, except, I pretended to start crying and he put me on hold, came back and said the loan has been canceled or whatever term he used. I "graciously" thanked him, he told me they would not call me again. I hope they all rot in h**l!!
They called me two days in a row and stated that I owed a payday loan in which I refused to pay. I have never gotten a payday loan and told them I have the documents to prove it. They told me they were going to put me in jail. I said a few choice words, and they hung up on me. They said that I needed a lawyer. They also would not give me any information on what company was suing me. I knew this was a scam. Who can we report this to????
she said i had a claim filed in court against me. she had the wrong address and last four of the social for my name on file. when i confirmed this, she told me i needed to take my drivers license to my local authorities. what a bunch of losers
These people tried to tell me I have two complaints filed against from the National Assisted Funds who came to them and filed a complaint. I called the number back and switch board operator answered, said you have reached a switch board and their are many companies here, I said I wanted to speak to Angela and they put this man on the line. Whom thought he was going to be intimidating. Not at all. I told that punk off and am reporting their a*s to the BBB.
The caller left a message on my home phone and my cell phone that this was a documented attempt to contact me. She said she needed to speak to me or my legal representation immediately. She wished me luck. She didn't identify the issue or who she represented. This happened to me a couple of years ago. I asked them for the company's name and physical address. As soon as they gave me this information, I told them I was reporting them to the Attorney General's office. They immediately hung up and never called again.
