This is my 3nd csll from this number. They claim to be from the US Treasury and they tell me I have been chosen to receive a $9,000 grant from the government that will not have to be repaid. I asked them to remove my number from their list and they hang up. This is s nuisance scammer call. How can I make them stop calling?
Person with a strong accent called stating I have grant money of $9000; It will be sent to me but I cant gamble, shop, or use this money. Its only to be used for paying bills. He proceed in asking for verifying my address and phone number; he then asked my age. The provided me with 2 reference number, said I could get the money through western union, or through my bank account or a debt card. He then hung up. What a dam scam in the worst way. This fool needs help --please folks dont give these fools your personal information.
202-506-1967 has been calling me, every day...found that this number is perhaps a scam....it comes from Washington D. C. and it is from a Mobile SYSTE. CARRIER: is SOUTHWESTERNBELL. I do not answer these kinds of calls, and when fed up and have many, I will send them to Consumer Protection, and they take of whomever is on the other end.
Caller id said Day Gloria and a foreigner on line saying I was approved for a grant. Complete scam, HHS grants division would never call out of the blue like that. If you did apply for a grant they would have a grant id number and the specific grant you applied for. If anyone has any questions on legitimate grants you can visit grants.gov or call 800-333-4636.
I just received a call from this number and a person asked to speak to me. He continued to say that since I had a good tax record, and no criminal record the government had randomly selected my name and number to receive a $9000 grant. I immediately cut the call. Reading the numerous complaints listed here, this seems to be a common scam. I do not remember the name he mentioned but the caller ID showed Day, Gloria.
I have received multiple calls from this number. I have asked multiple times to remove my number. During one call the caller asked me "why should I?" When I repeated myself he said "Ah F*&K this man" and hung up on me. I just received another call - I believe it was the same person as before. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he clamed to be one. I repeated myself again - and his response was that he would NEVER take my number off of the list and he would continue to call. I have registered my number on the do not call list and I still get these. How do you make them stop.?????????????????????????????
A Lady with a thick accent called saying that she was part of the U.S. Treasury and I had been chosen for a $9000 grant that I didn't need to pay back. She had my name number and a previous address and needed me to verify other personal information.
SOMEONE CALLED ME WITH THIS NUMBER SAYS I WON $9000 FROM US-GOVERNMENT AND THEY HAVE THREE METHOD OF PAYMENT: CASH, BANK ACCOUNT TRANFER AND PHYSICAL HANDING OF THE CHECKS. THEY REQUESTED MY NAME, ADDRESS AND BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER. I DID NOT PRIVIDE ANY OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION CORRECTLY AND THINK THEY ARE SCAMMERS.........THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AS MANY PEOPLE WILL FALL PRAY TO THEIR FRAUDULENT MEANS OF MAKING MONEY.
These calls keep coming during the day. My husband works nights, he is sleeping. These calls wake him up and it is nothing but a scam. Someone wants to give us money... Please, the only people that want to give me money are my employers and they'll stop doing that if we can't get the sleep we need. Can't something be done to stop these SPAM, ridiculous, nonsense calls??? Who really falls for this c**p!
Received call yesterday with caller claiming to be with US federal government. Same deal... I was chosen to receive a $9,000 grant that did not need to be repaid. I stopped the call at that point and requested to be removed from their call list. The guy actually started to argue with me calling me by my name.. I hung up on him.. He had the nerve to ring me back. I did not answer and obviously they don't care that I do not want their calls. Total scam. Beware.
Received call today with caller claiming to be with US federal government. Same deal... I was chosen to receive a $9,000 grant that did not need to be repaid. He said I was choose because of my outstanding something with the government. then he said for me to receive the money I had to call his supervisor or something. I hung up on the the caller at that. He had a strong middle eastern accent very hard for me to understand him. Total scam. Beware. Read more at http://www.callercenter.com/202-506-1967.html#QrbAT5cCh5YvMwAe.99
Says he works for the grant portion of the government and I am eligible for $9000 because I have no criminal background or haven't filed for bankruptcy. He said something else about the program having picked people from December 2012 for whatever reason. These are foreigners and sound like they are outside. When I called the number back it was quick busy signals, but the same number always call. The government, state and cities need to put back in place PRIVACY LAWS for the citizens of the USA!!. Anytime they use the government to commit fraudulent acts, we are in trouble as citizens!!!
