I've came across a survey while wanting to download a game. The survey asked me to enter my number & wanting to get my game immediately , I did. However, the next screen asked me to reply TOP to the above number to complete subscription but I didn't. Anyone knows whether I'll be charged still?
I also did a survey and it require me to sms TOP to this number so as to download a game, then it sms to 4 messages that decrease my mobilphone balance from 25 to 0 directly, can callcenter help us solve this problem and give a punishment to this scams?
I think i subscribe unknowingly for downloading an app on phone which requires sms TOP. Then these sms came in one after another.
Received 5 sms in a row on 14 Feb. Didnt notice it was a scam sms untl the second sms mention WINCLUB Subscrition is due for renewal.Auto renews until u quit by sms STOP TOP to 146079193 S$24.68 w?GST per week.
Only then did i sms STOP but was too late. Got charge $26 for the first 5 sms
$5 per sms. Then it appeared in my bill but i didnt even click the link in the sms.
Called Singtel, they say it's third party service provider so can't do anything and ask me call Allterco-ATLC to clarify the issue.
Called Allterco-ATLC they say i did subscribe to this service by sms TOP so thats how i got the sms. Then i ask why sms cost $5 each, they say it's not a normal sms but a service sms with link attach. They win lor. Say what also no use. Have to pay. But ask singtel to block future third party stuff ready. T.T
I received this scam sms too. The sms came in one after another starting 6 Mar and received the sms mention "WINCLUB Subscription is due for renewal.Auto renews until u quit....." on 12 Mar. As I not sure what those sms is, I choose to ignore. Until I received the second sms "WINCLUB Subscription is due for renewal.Auto renews until u quit......", then I sms STOP. But, still get charged $48.
Called Singtel, they say this is a third party service so they can't do anything and ask me to call Allterco-ATLC. Called Allterco-ATLC they say they received a sms from my cellphone to subscribe this service. When I ask them why the sms so costly, they said is because the sms is a service sms which have link attach.
What should we do? Can we choose not to pay? Or making a polish report?
I receive the sms too and really got no idea when did i subscribe it. I got a shock when i see the bill from Singtel. When called singtel, they said the can't do anything because this is a third party service (is this what singtel usually do to push away the issue??).
really hope callcenter can help us solve this problem and give a punishment to this scams.
It seems that all subscribers of all Telco is having problem with them. I am with Starhub, my message received from 146079193 as follow.
" Free MSG: Ur subscription Addrenaline Addicts will renew in 24 hrs. Call: 31586890 sevice by sms STOP ADDICT to 146079193. Max S$12/wk CHG"
The very next day I receive the following message
"Your Adrenaline Addicts subscription has been renewed. Call 31586890
Quit by sms STOP ADDICT to 146079193 S$12.84 /wk w/GST CHG"
When I call 31586890, I was told I have signed a agreement to subscript and ask to send a copy to my e-mail address - nothing has come in yet.
I got my singtel bill yesterday and saw my daughter's phone was charged $24 for 3 consecutive weeks and total $72. Called Singtel and asked them not to charge the 72 to my bill until I call and settled with the 3rd party. Singtel should be responsiblepartly as they allowand collaborate with such scam 3rd party. I will not pay and everyone should request singtel not to bill us. I have managed to get singtel take it out from my bill. Singtel has also blocked them from sms to my daughter's phone. will call this 3rd party and tell them off. All of us should stand firm and not pay up!

Additionally, upon answering each question, you will receive the. next chargeable SMS at S$2.68 (w/GST) each. Max. S$53.50 per week (w/GST). This is an ongoing auto-renewal subscription service until you quit.
Call up M1 and request to block them. M1 customer service informed that this is a premium SMS service which is why chargeable but immediately help to block them and ask me to call them again to waive the charges when i receive the bill later as charges might already incurred.
I had also received an confirmation SMS from M1 informing the barring of the premium SMS service.
Partially relief now knowing M1 has barred them (thank you M1) and now awaits for bill. Hopefully it is a permanent stop from now.

ONE MORE THING THEY JUST SENT ANOTHER SMS THAT IT ALREADY AUTO RENEWED WHEN WE RECEIVED THIS MONTH BILL THEY CHARGES HER $96. I HAVE MADE A COMPLAIN TO SINGTEL THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO PAY ANYTHING NOW OR IN FUTURE AND TOLD SINGTEL TO STOP THESE KIND OF 3RD PARTY NONSENSES. I AM GOING TO POST ON TO OUR FACEBOOK TO LET EVERYONE KNOW AND POST TO THE FACEBOOK TO OUR PRIME MINISTER ABOUT IT.
