Got the same, after replying gumtree job ad. looks like fake as they want to make a CRB check and say: "Due to insurance purposes and our client’s policy we cannot accept CRB done outside the company". CRB check is not done "inside" or "outside" any company as it's official document given to you by Home Office and it doesn't depend on what company asked for it. done "inside" or "outside" is exactly the same.

I recieved 2 emails saying the same thing, although the name of the company had changed, including the pay rate, addresses, and phone numbers. when you call it just rings out. Its a fluke, a dishonest scam, there just trying to steal peoples money by asking so called 'applicants' to pay for their crb, with another card (UKash), also claiming that they can't take crb's outside of the company due to insurance purposes..... Whatever...these people should be found and locked up.

This is about a different phone number, but the same scam 02088075009 People need to be warned! My son got an email with an offer of a two day induction and training course. The email was almost word for word the same as other emails posted on here. I decided to check this out before he parted with the £50 as a few things didn't ring true: The email was Water Field Agency with a gmail address: waterfieldagency@gmail.com A Companies House search came up no company with that name The phone number - 02088075009 - no answer. If it was genuine, there would be at least an answerphone The address given: Triumph Trading Estate, Tariff Rd, London, N17 0EB (where on the trading estate? I'll bet there are people having paid their £50, wandering around the estate looking for this non-existent company) Why can't they accept a CRB from anywhere else - rubbish - a CRB check is a CRB check. Also, an enhanced CRB disclosure costs £44, not £50. The company name, address and phone number seems to change every time, but it is easy enough to check these out. With the company, google it and also look it up on the Companies House website: wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/ If it exists, check the registered address, then look that up. If it is a residential address, be suspicious. Check the address thoroughly to see what other companies, if any, are listed there. Look up the address for the induction course on the email, see what companies are listed there and make sure it's not a minicab office or an internet cafe. Google the phone number, like I did. See if it comes up on any scam warning sites. If any of the above looks fishy, don't touch it with a barge pole. These people prey on the poor, the vulnerable, and basically the unemployed who will struggle to get £50 together and certainly can't afford to not see that money again. A word of warning here, if anyone else gets one of these emails, report it to Consumer Direct on 0845 404 0506.

yeah i got the same today. i had recently applied for several jobs on gumtree like one of the above people, and receieved the same email as "michael" from above. the thing is these people are complete arseholes and do need locking up!! i had recently lost my job which is why i started applying on gumtree, and had attended an interview 3 weeks ago and was notified 4 days ago that i have got the job but is temporarily a part time position. i then received the email from "mbot recruitment" which had the same email attached as all of you guys. it promised 8am - 5pm day shifts and 9pm - 6am night shift security work. there wasnt an exact location of where i will be working, but the hours and pay were stated. it also stated i was to attend a 2 day training/induction on the 17th and 18th october 2012 (next week) and then i will find out where i will be situated on a permanent basis for work. i ALMOST settled on this "job" as it is "perfect" in the real world! had i chose this "job" over the previous one, i would infact be £50 out of pocket and STILL jobless and forced to endure the job centre every 2 weeks!! DO NOT reply or entertain these emails for god sake!! someone is unfortunately earning stupid amounts of money preying on unemployed people! send them down for a long time!!
