I've had this call a number of times. This caller told me she was from Microsoft and that my PC was at risk of malware. I humored her until she wanted to take control of my PC. Mcrosoft will never call you. I believe she wanted to install malware on my PC, maybe a keytracker to record my banking details? How noble and kind of her [sarcasm]. Please ignore callers from this number
these people are peresistent. this has been going on for a few weeks now from this number. i told them i would call the police if they phone one more time, and then they called back another three times. they think they're untouchable. i believe the people involved are an indian man and woman. i also read that they are under police invesigation in the capetown durban area, due to an elderly gentleman getting money stolen out of his bank account. i've been unable to trace or call this number back, and they do not take threats seriously. i'm willing to bet the police will do nothing.
I Also keep getting calls from this number asking who is the owner of the Microsoft PC in the house. Indian Women who gave her name as Priscella. I just replied there isn't any PC's in the house and she apologizes and hangs up. Another friend of mine also in Cape town gets called from the same group.
Had two calls from this joker. First one disconnected as I picked up. The second. about an hour later, a male with an Indian accent told me he was from Microsoft & I had a fault with my computer, (it was running slow apparently) & would I download something to correct the problem. I told him I do not take any cold calls over the phone and I asked where he was phoning from. He replied "from my mouth". Lots of background chat heard after that response & I hung up. It's about time the authorities clamped down on these scams. The telephone companies appear quite happy to allow them to operate.
Cape town Told me computer was faulty , abusively took me through a process that made my computer freeze , then got me too accept . And treatened with jail and a fine and being black listed . Demanded my credit card and took out 3500 Im still shocked and out raged by this persons dishonesty
Had a call today from a person claiming he's from Microsoft so I asked him who is the CIO of Microsoft and was unable to answer. I then asked him whats his number so I can call him back. He then refused to give this to me. I told him his a cheating a*****e and hung up. He then called again this time from unknown number, I hung up, he then called again , I hung up and left phone off hook. He stopped. What a bunch of a******s.
This Guy, strange accent, called me on the landline just now - also wanting to remove my pc malware.. I told him I think he's a scammer and he suggested very kindly, almost urgently, that I phone the following number: 021/8139862. (He only knew the code, not the number, and I had to hold - hearing him confirming it with another person.....) He urged me to dial this number, I would find that I actually did reach Microsoft offices... How stupid does he think I am! I logged on to google and came accross this site - warning people about this number... He might be at this number if someone wants to try, or get the police closeby involved..
regarding security issues on my computer i explained i have two very good antivirus on my computer and to take me off his calling circle he then told me to f**k off which i find rather unproffessional also if i could have rang back as there is no dial tone to ring back i would have complained to his superiors. this is unacceptable behaviour even if he is trying to persuade people to take out extra security on their computer. he said he was from microsoft windows tech help line i think this may be a load of bollocks personally and am totally hacked off with these type of people.
Spent half an hour on phone with fake Mircosoft scammer who didn't understand that I used Ubuntu. Culminated in him telling me he wanted to F me with his D that would reach my mouth and that the police would come to my house with him and F me too...
Indian guy called home phone from 'Microsoft' claiming he was getting an error message from my PC. Me - "So your from Microsoft?" Scammer - "Yes sir" Me - "And your getting error messages from my PC?" Scammer - "Yes" Me - "And you want to know my password?" Scammer - "Password for what?" Me - "For my bank account?" Scammer - pause..."Are you a $%£"ing £%"hole?" Me - "Just "%$£ Off! you scamming piece of s**t!" Scammer hangs up! Scammers are successful only because people are unaware of their intentions and façade. Please tell everyone you know about this scam and ask them to warn everyone they know.
