0000000000 - Did this number call you? If yes, leave your comment/complaint below.
We received numerous calls from this # at all hours of the day. This is a REAL CRIMINAL and must get reported. There are 3 different #'s at this site I reported...something MUST be done about this INTRUSION, and reported to the proper authorities.
I received a call in August 2011 from 00000 and it scared me so I did not open it until October. Once I listened to the message a foreign accent (could be Nigerian or African). It stated the name of friend that had commented fraud and I was somehow involved. They were going to court in California and I needed to contact them immediately. I called my friend and she said she got a call implicating her. She talked to the FBI and they told her to go to the police. We went to the police together and they were not able to do anything. I went to AT & T store and they said I needed to contact customer service. The customer service said they can't do anything with the #0000000000 - somehow it is protected by law that it can't be blocked. They offered to give me a new phone # at no charge. They told me to just answer the phone and find out what they wanted. I did that and they hung up on me and have been calling me from 5 to 20 times a day since. They stopped for about a week so I thought it was over. Then it started again and is escalating every day. I also get calls from all over the country that are scams and I don't answer them. I gave it a special ring so that I don't kill myself trying to run & answer the scam caller. I don't want a new phone # but I think that is the only solution. anyone else have this issue? HELP (Every time I replayed the 00000 message to let police or someone hear it ....the calls increased) HELP
I have been getting these calls for days now, but today I have gotten approximentally 10 (so far). They say they want to send me a gift card since I have been such a good customer of Walmart and Target over the past month. Since I havn't been in a Walmart in 10 years, and havn't been in Target for months, I knew this was a scam to begin with, but I decided to let him talk. In very heavily accented/broken English spoken with an Indian accent, He told me the gift card was free, but I would need to give him my credit card number to cover the cost of $2.50 for mailing costs. I told him to take my number off of their list and to never call my number again. I have since then received at least 5 more calls today. One of them gave me his name as "Kevin" , I then asked for his phone number. He became out-raged and asked me why I needed it. I explained that by law telemarketers and solicitors must provide this information. He kept asking "Why do you need this? For What?!!" I kept repeating that this is the law. He hung up on me. Verizon apparantly won't do anything about this even though it's obviously an illegal activity. So what do I do now? Anyone have any advice?
How do we block these calls? Phone companies and government like these calls. Because of the revenue and taxes they generate. I think we the people have just lost our phones. Along with our other rights. I.e. Prayer in schools, flag presentation, right to own guns, right to work, etc.
This number has called my phone at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks. I have never answered because the number is so strange and I was concerned about reversed charges, etc . . . I like the idea of a particular ring-tone so I can ignore the call!
This particular phone number has called me 6 times today alone in a 3 hour span. When I finally picked up, he said that I "won a Walmart gift card". I told him that I was not interested and that I wanted to be taken off the list because I almost got fired for my phone constantly going off. Never once did I curse or insult him or raise my voice. As I was saying this, the guy kept saying F*** you over and over. I asked to speak to his manager and he said "f*** you lady" and hung up on me! What can I do?
Received a call from this number at my workplace; it was a guy (African American) who answered me by saying 'Hey Baby hows it going?' to which he asked if I could read him the number off the copier and when I told him I couldn't do it he started verbally and sexually assaulting me over the phone. Copier toner scammer who lives alone in his parents basement no doubt.
